"Style is silly" is based upon a silly premise that we cannot think about style and also be concerned with other issues. 2. "Style is silly" is a thought other people have, but it's not one that you have to take on as true. 3. Don't get your style advice from people who are not experts and unconcerned with style. Choose carefully who you take your advice from and for what purposes.
