Description

Guy is a remarkably reflective practitioner and teacher of yoga in its widest context. He has been able to bridge the often gaping chasm of Ashtanga Yoga as taught in Mysore yoga as a particular method and reach into the territory of yoga as a deep way of looking and relating to life. A philosopher and deeply compassionate soul, his teaching carries the energy of the wish to bring out the deepest level of personal relation an individual can gain with themselves. To this end he has a practical and particular application of the practice to suit each person, his emphasis being finally always on the state of meditation that is the highest aim of Yoga. Guy teaches in New York having grown up in the UK. He has also spent many years in India and is certified to teach the Ashtanga method. He is passionate about nature, stating that it was the experience of the peace of being in nature that drew him to yoga and his focus with it.

Adam Keen hosts the Keen On Yoga Podcast where he engages in a deep level of discussion with Ashtanga yoga teachers as well as others involved in inquiry, wellness, diet, or simply people he finds interesting. The podcast is nonformulaic; there is no pre-list of questions, and the guests are encouraged into an open-ended chat in order to really get a feel for them and their approach to their subject. The emphasis is always on depth, with actual topics of discussion prioritised over the life-story or more familiar, surface-level questions we are used to hearing. To this end, the conversations are often quite honest and surprising. Approaching quickly towards one-hundred episodes, the keen on yoga podcast was started at the beginning of the first lockdown of 2021. We have now released one episode a week for the las year and are as enthusiastic as ever to bring you a wide range of voices to inspire and support your greater journey with yoga.
