Description

Polly Ely, MFT, is the Creator of The LAB Method, Life Support Project, and host of the Parent School Podcast. Polly received her Master’s degree from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California in 2011. Shortly after graduating, she became a devoted practitioner of an experiential form of healing called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and is currently studying Relational Life Therapy (RLT). Polly has been married and in love for 23 years strong. Together, she and her partner have raised two stunning individuals. Polly notes, “I created the LAB method because there were not enough people teaching ways for building a template to become the kind of parent I could be proud of.” In this episode, The Brain Possible Founder & CEO, Emily Abbott and Polly discuss the compounding effects that familial stressors and/or trauma may have on caregivers, which can lead to emotional, and even physical breakdowns. Listen in to find out more about how caregivers, and parents in general, can take care of their emotional health and nervous systems in big and small ways to make a huge impact on not only their wellbeing, but also on their family and partner in life.Support the show
