Description
Miami Hurricanes commit Jaden Rashada has been ranked number 7 on Sports Illustrated’s SI99 list, ranking the top prospects for the class of 2023. Rashada is Miami’s top ranked prospect. Surprisingly, he ranks better than Texas commit Arch Manning. Arch was the 5th ranked quarterback and 10th overall prospect. Rashada has smooth mechanics and an NFL-type arm. Manning gets knocked for not participating in many camps or playing against the top competition. Will Rashada wind up having a better career than the nephew of Peyton and Eli?
Host Alex Donno breaks down Rashada’s potential and reflects on a very stacked Miami Hurricanes quarterback lineage. After Tyler Van Dyke, Jake Garcia is in line to take over and then players like Jacurri Brown, Jaden Rashada and Emory Williams will compete. Donno takes a look at the other 5 Hurricanes commits who made the SI99. OT Francis Mauigoa, DE Jayden Wayne, LB Malik Bryant, LB Raul Aguirre and WR Nathaniel “Ray Ray” Joseph all made the cut!
Donno discusses a recent piece by David Lake of Inside The U on Miami’s offensive line. Canes coaches think the O-Line will be one of Miami’s strengths this season. The Hurricanes graded out well last year in pass protection, but will they be able to bring their run-blocking to the type of standard of Josh Gattis’ 2021 Michigan Wolverines or Mario Cristobal’s 2021 Oregon Ducks?
