The Miami Hurricanes are among the top 5 college football programs on their way "back to prominence" according to Mike Farrell of MikeFarrellSports.com. He ranks the Hurricanes number 2 behind the USC Trojans and just ahead of Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee. The Hurricanes last won a national championship in 2001 and have only appeared in a New Years 6 level bowl game once (2017) since 2003.
Host Alex Donno discusses why the time is right for Miami to climb back up to the top of the mountain. Programs like Miami and USC are able to level the playing field due to NIL and the advantages that come from that area for teams in big cities like Los Angeles and Miami. On the field, the Hurricanes are seemingly in good hands for the upcoming years at quarterback and weak areas like offensive line and linebacker are going to be well coached and well developed under OL coach Alex Mirabal and LB coach Charlie Strong.
