Description

Evan Jager joins us on this episode of the Sweat Elite Podcast to discuss his journey in athletics. A founding member of the group that is now known as Bowerman Track Club – unarguably one of the most successful distance groups in the world – Evan has represented the US at both London and Rio Olympics, and holds the American record for the steeplechase with a time of 8:00:45. In this episode we discuss his choice to go pro at such a young age, his training with Bowerman under coach Jerry Schumacher, injuries, cross training through injuries and much more. Evan has gone from the youngest member of Bowerman when it was formed to being one of the group’s senior members and it was great to hear about that process and so much of what he learnt along the way. Thank you to Evan for sharing so much of his time with us – enjoy!
