Description

If you're not transparent, you're going to lose the trust of your team and employees. Many leaders have a perception that being a leader means you have to be distant and aloof, but that's not true. To be a good leader, you need to be transparent and open with your team. Without trust, you can't lead effectively.
Just wait to hear the story from Corporate Executive, Adam Lee, who worked in the FBI for 22 years. He shares a big moment that he was on a job interview with the President of the US and he chose to lead with authenticity and transparency - a hallmark of his throughout this career.
He is Dominion Energy’s Vice President and Chief Security Officer. He directs the development and implementation of corporate security policies and procedures designed to protect physical and cyber assets. He is the liaison with all outside government and law enforcement agencies on physical and cyber security matters for Dominion Energy. Lee joined the company in this role in 2018.
Dominion Energy is headquartered in Richmond, VA has over 7 million retail energy customers across 13 states. As THE energy supplier to the Pentagon and the Norfolk naval base and shipyard, and many other essential pieces of the U.S. national security enterprise, Dominion Energy is a unique critical national asset.
Before joining Dominion Energy, Lee served as Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Richmond Division. In 2018, he retired from the FBI after a 22-year career focused on criminal, counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence, and cyber investigations. In addition, he specialized in cases involving corruption of elected and appointed government officials, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and antitrust violations; Lee previously served as the FBI's executive over its national Public Corruption and Civil Rights Programs.
He belongs to the FBI’s Domestic Security Alliance Council, the Department of Homeland Security’s Classified Intelligence Forum, and is a member of the national Government/Business Executive Forum. Lee also sits on the Hampden-Sydney College’s Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest advisory board and the University of Richmond’s Continuing Education/Customer Experience advisory board.
Lee is a passionate supporter of our nation’s veterans and leads Dominion Energy’s Veterans Resource Group and sits on the board of directors for the Richmond Fisher House.
