This may be an unpopular opinion, but none of my suggestions will include the student's reading level. Sounds scary, right? Believe me when I say there are better and more motivating ways to measure your student’s growth in reading.   I know this won’t be a surprise to you, but I’m going to recommend that you allow your students to set their goals.
