Description

If you are a mom in the Madison area, you need to listen to this episode! Ashley Jacobs interviews Sarah Smith from Happy Bambino, a pregnancy and early parenting resource center here in Madison that is helping parents connect, learn and explore alongside other parents. They say “it takes a village,” so Happy Bambino’s mission is to create that village, so to speak. This episode also features an interview with David Lippiatt, the founder of WE International, an organization that is transforming the lives of the broken and abused in developing countries. More great stuff ahead, thanks for listening to the I Love Madison Show! Chris Sorenson hosts the “ On Mission” segment, with Guest David Lippiatt from WE International David Lippiatt founded WE International in 2007 to create effective and sustainable solutions for people affected by poverty and injustice in developing countries around the world. His faith, heart of compassion and desire for justice is the driving force behind what causes him to respond to the overwhelming amount of global poverty and injustice issues affecting women, children, and men in less developed countries. As founding directors of WE International, David and his wife Tina believe much more can be done on the front end to fight global poverty and heal the ravages of injustice and violence. As a result, WE International takes a relational approach to transforming lives—providing dignity, strengthening human connections, and empowering communities. There are so many ways you can support this organization. If you would like to learn more about this incredible organization and the work they are doing, check out their website, weinternational.org Chris Reese hosts the “My Move” segment with Guest Ross Killner It’s easy to take things you appreciate for granted, especially when you have easy access to them. Ross Killner used to be a Madison resident but recently moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area. Today, he joins Chris Reese to talk about what he misses about the city of Madison. For starters, Ross said he never fully appreciated that Madison is a low traffic area until he experienced traffic in Dallas. He also speaks highly of the local flavors that Madison offers, unlike the chain-restaurant scene where he lives. Madison is home to some of the best burgers, beer, brats and cheese curds, plus a host of other local selections. It’s easy to see why Ross would miss it! When he lived in Madison, Ross said he loved to relax by the lake with his family, attend the farmer’s market and support the local places to eat like The Malt House and Rare On the Square.
