About this ebook
From Whence He Came is an exhilarating compilation of poems personifying romance mixed with fantasy. The words of each poem act as a paintbrush, illustrating pictures of love and romance between two people whose pieces never seem to fit. It speaks to the pulling and tugging of different worlds that leave the characters lost and lonely as they co

My Armor
I have cried countless nights I have slept through lonely dreams.
Sitting tonight I revisit our memories.
Memories I didn’t think I had.
Now I see, you were there for me, you caught my tears;
You held me close and kept me safe.
Whether at my side or in the shadows.
You did all this with no effort and for no gain.
A silent hug, such a silent heart, my silent listener.
My surviving Armor;
I didn’t see what a great friend you were to me.
I didn’t realize how much you also meant to me.
Our days were filled with innocence, joy and laughter.
From sitting and talking; then to a childish game.
Nothing seemed perfect. Nor did it ever rain.
Though we stand miles apart, you’re here with me; you’re here in my heart.
Tonight is yet but another cold one, but our memories are here keeping me warm.
You are my best friend, you have helped me limitless times, you had faith in me even when all hope was lost.
Even so never did you ever let me down and now I see, how grateful I need to be.
Thanking you in this disguise and smiling at you from the stars.
We may be oceans and moons apart
But just a thought away our hearts will always stay.
Roses of Life
It’s hard to lose the ones you love. It’s tough to live in a world filled with sorrow.
There are days you’d want to hide away in the dark, away from the piercing eyes of society; It’s hopeless to keep fighting, fighting for the wrong things that always seemed right but always leaves you thorn apart.
Lonely moments filled with nothing but shattered dreams. A struggling moment filled with weakness, but somehow you find the strength to stand only to fall once more. It’s a hazy journey, on a path filled with more dead ends than that of a castle’s maze. Always having to tell yourself it will be ok, never truly believing that anyway. It’s nothing more than simply being alone in a world filled with misery and failure. Sadly, there’s that one moment, which comes around every now and then. The peaceful moment right before a raging storm. Moments when you wake up and realize you’re sleeping alone. Yet the brilliant ray of the moon makes its way into your room. There you’d realize that beauty always makes its way in no matter how dark the night may be. Another day you’ll realize how hard your life is and hate everything about your existence and in the midst of your darkest hour it’s hard to remember those few seconds you had… the few seconds you let go and the weight of the world was released from your soul.
You may have had five nights of loneliness, but was lucky enough to have three minutes of peace; two minutes filled with smiles, one minute to hear the words I love you
from someone dear to your heart and then the rest of the week wishing you could be that lucky just for a second longer. I’d like to say to all those who tried to bring us down, all those who live selfish lives and claims that life isn’t a bed of roses, for you I’ll say, My life is a bed of roses! In my life there is beauty, tender kisses of sincerity, innocence and loyalty; just like the radiant petals of a rose after a rainstorm.
Sadly, but truthfully, my life is also filled with fading dreams, cruel realities of never being happy long enough and failure from trying my best. My heart will always have scars from the thorns of life and at the end we will all return to dust just like withering roses, leaving behind our mark on the crust of this cruel but beautiful world. Nothing was ever meant to be perfect not even roses and so my life will always be that of a bed of roses. It’s time to turn around and open your heart and soul. Have faith, accept your loses and be proud of your will to live.
Prisoner of the Heart
My rage screams like the thunder that battles between the clouds,
I’m losing my mind as time flies by,
Frantically I toss around this mansion I call home,
Trying my best to leave no stone unturned.
The shackles on my ankles hold tighter each time I move,
The chains on my hands, tangle with every twitch.
They look like ribbons, but its strength is like a lion
Why am I here? This place is filled with beauty, written on a sash.
How can my stay here be such a tragedy?
I’m trapped in this heaven that reeks of the hidden essence of hell.
Trying to remember how I ended up here,
My memory is fading the more I try.
This is the end; I’ve lost my way even though it isn’t
