THE MOUSE THAT ROARED
––––––––
Once there was this little white mouse. She was nothing special, or she thought so. Just ordinary and plain. Very timid, meek and mild. No one paid her much attention and she mostly went through her days unnoticed.
The other mice would pick on her something awful. They'd tell her to her face even, and try to pick a fight.
Every night she'd cry to the only One who ever cared. He was very kind to her. He fed her and gave her plenty of water. He cleaned her cage every day. He was her only friend. He was all she ever knew as family.
He stroked her fur. He took good care of her. He paid special attention to her.
