    Paisley Meets Runjie, the Bunyip

P aisley was with Mistress ’Shell and Master Tommy, visiting Auntie Anne and Uncle Rob’s farm in Bunyip. Auntie Anne now owned the farm, which had once belonged to Nana Apanie.

Nana had loved the water and always played by the waterhole at the bottom of the farm. So she was named Apanie, which means ‘water,’ and her mummy called her a water baby. Nana was the clever medicine woman in the town. Whenever anyone needed help, she was there. Now that Nana had passed on to the big waterhole in the sky, Auntie Anne was in charge of the farm.
