Reviews for Miss Lily And The Quirky Colorful Village
1 rating1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is Sara's second book for children and juveniles. Beautifully illustrated, with unusual, quirky and colourful characters. Sara is again embracing differences, finding joy and authenticity. From the main character to the side characters living in the village, this book is a warm and welcoming embrace.
Whilst some people might complain of the repetition in the writing I enjoy it as I tend to lose concentration and find the summaries and repeats reset the storyline for me.

Walking through the vibrant streets of the Rainbow Village, you would be greeted by a Collection of colors. The houses and buildings stood tall, proudly displaying every shade of the rainbow. From bright red to sunny yellow, from tranquil blue to lively green, each structure was a work of art in itself. The village was a living canvas, a testament to the creativity and imagination of its inhabitants.
But it wasn’t just the architecture that made the Rainbow Village so special. The people adorned their homes with flags, flowers, and ornaments, creating a whimsical atmosphere that filled the air with joy and wonder. Feathers of all colors adorned the rooftops, dancing in the gentle breeze, adding an extra touch of magic to the village.
As you strolled through the streets, you couldn’t help but notice the friendly smiles and warm greetings from the villagers. They held hands and laughed together, forming a tight-knit community built on love and acceptance. It didn’t matter if someone had an unusual face or a different way of expressing themselves; in the Rainbow Village, everyone was embraced for who they were.
Music filled the air, as some of the villagers played instruments with great enthusiasm. From the melodious tunes of the flute to the beautiful strings of the cello, the village was alive with the sound of joy and harmony. The villagers would gather in the central square, dancing and singing, creating a vibrant symphony of laughter and music.
The people of the Rainbow Village had a unique sense of style. They wore colorful pants and dresses that mirrored the hues of the rainbow. Their outfits were adorned with tall hats, each one topped with a feather that matched their vibrant personalities. The villagers took great pride in their appearance, expressing themselves through their fashion choices.
But it wasn’t just the people who brought life to the Rainbow Village; even the buildings seemed to have personalities of their own. Some houses and buildings had faces, with bright big eyes and smiling expressions. They seemed to come alive, as if they were watching over the village and its inhabitants with a sense of warmth and protection.
The women of the Rainbow Village were a sight to behold. They danced through the streets in their colorful dresses, twirling and spinning with grace and joy. And let’s not forget about the animals of the Rainbow Village! The sheep, in particular, were a sight to behold. They were not your ordinary sheep; they were colored blue, orange, and pink, standing out from the crowd. Some of them even wore dresses, showcasing their unique sense of style. And there were sheep who wore glasses, adding a touch of sophistication to their already charming personalities.
