About this ebook

- Summary of the four parts -

Part One

-Falling-

Beirut: in September of the year of our Lord 1975... all airlines stopped flying to Lebanon's capital: because of the brutal, bloody and relentless civil war that had been raging there for almost fifteen years.

But one plane is on its way... but unfortunately it never arrives. This is the story of the Khoury family orphans who were waiting for their father on that beautiful night: the Lebanese millionaire businessman Khoury Hamdan, who will never again bring a baby to his children.

The young widow leaves everything behind to move to Hungary with her children; Cyprus would be the ideal place for them, but she chooses Budapest to start a new life and face the cruel reality of the past: that the father of her children's love is no more.

But time does not stand still... the children grow up: Diana is a beautiful and clever woman, while Mohamed is a true IT genius. But there's something else: the legacy their father left behind, which hasn't been settled in 25 years, is just a real palace orphaned in Beirut.

Love finds them in the meantime, and together they embark on a great adventure in search of the inheritance... but the inheritance is the least that awaits them there... I might add, dear reader, that you will have no less to look forward to when the series of novellas comes to an end... I can assure you of that with absolute certainty...

    Beirut – Budapest – Beirut

    Prologue

This story is the first in a series of short stories: based on events that have happened, with the addition of fictional events... The details of a similar story from a long time ago happened entirely to the author and his family...

Inspired by these events, this book is a constructed and fictional story featuring fictional characters, places and events... The other characters and characters are all constructed and fictional characters. Of course there may be similarities, but in life many similar things happen in parallel...

However, if you think you have discovered a reality, or if you think you have found a coincidence of names: it can only be a coincidence... Nevertheless, I must add that such an incident did happen in 1975 with a Malév airline plane... and of course, there are crew on an aircraft, as there were on this flight: It is for this reason that I offer my deepest respect and condolences to all those on board and their families.

My father-in-law was on the passenger list of the Malév plane that crashed and he died a horrible death in that early hour of the morning, leaving behind two small children:

One of the babies later became my wife and the mother of my first-born daughter... With this series of short stories, I would like to pay tribute to them...

This short story adventure series will tell you a similar fictional case, and in the rest of the series you will have a number of adventures in Beirut... The battle for the inheritance left behind begins, and the family suffers several terrorist attacks and more air strikes. A battle of life and death unfolds in Beirut... I bring you the story in a near present tense narration for a better experience... I wish you, dear readers, to have a serious adventure film in your mind...

    - Chapter 1 -

    Night - Ferihegy 1 - 8.00 pm

Ferihegy International Airport in Budapest is not exactly busy tonight, rather a sort of sluggish tone. A few passengers loitering, browsing in the duty free shops... which at this time of year is a very upmarket pastime for Hungarians and of course all communists... and people living east of the Iron Curtain.

Yes: the famous dollar store. It's got everything that's not out there: Marlboro, Coca Cola and you could go on for days and nights... but that's not why we're here... We're here tonight for the sake of a gentleman in a suit and to get his story, believe me you wouldn't want to be in his shoes for a few hours, along with the rest of the passengers.

This gentleman is the eldest son of the very influential, famous and extremely wealthy Khoury Taleb family, a Lebanese: Khoury Taleb Hamdan, a businessman who, when he has a problem, goes to London to complete his collection of vinyl to complete his collection, or to visit the JCB company that manufactures the newest excavators for the company... because the family is also in the construction business... it is worth mentioning that in Beirut, in the Ras Al Naba`a district, the building that is higher than 8 floors is built by the Khoury Taleb family.

In addition, the Khoury Taleb family is in the jewellery business, architectural design, selling car tyres, interior design for hotels... and of course the family has its own steel factory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I think that's enough to make you happy, and ninety-nine
