Cover Photograph: Taken by Mario Tama of the January 21, 2017 Women’s March on Washington DC, which was a protest of the inauguration of Donald Trump as president. The photo was displayed at the National Archives after blurring signs critical of Trump or that might be offensive. The National Archives later apologized for making the alterations and replaced the modified photograph with the original version, which was also used on the cover of this book. The back cover highlights two of the altered signs from the altered photograph.
