Dr. Carol Graham is a National Board Certified Reading and Language Arts Teacher Specialist. She is an elementary teacher and principal who lives in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. As principal and a teacher at Hometown Elementary School, her leadership and experience spirited Hometown Elementary School to be recognized at the state and national levels. As a teacher, her students achieved acclaim as finalists in a National NASA Competition and received several National STEM awards. As principal, Hometown Elementary was selected as a National Green Ribbon School, National Title I School, West Virginia School of Excellence and a West Virginia Distinguished School during her tenure. Beautiful Echo Ranch, near Kalispell, Montana, provided many childhood and young adult experiences for Dr. Graham. She fondly remembers riding her registered quarter horse, "Whimper Duke," many miles throughout the open range herding cattle. Later, she attended Montana State University to attain her degree in teaching. As a teacher in Idaho, her interactions with the children and teachers of the state, as well as her wealth of experiences from the state of West Virginia, provide the setting and backdrop for many of Dr. Graham's stories, illustrations and poems.

    Dr. Carol Graham is a National Board-Certified Reading and Language Arts Teacher Specialist. She is an elementary, middle school, and high school teacher, and principal. She has worked as a teacher and principal for several decades in West Virginia.

In addition, Hometown Elementary was selected as a winner in a national competition of the Washington, DC Kennedy Center for the Arts.

Later, she attended Montana State University to attain her Bachelors Degree in teaching, Masters Degree in Administration, and Doctorate at West Virginia University.

    Currently, Dr. Carol Graham teaches in the state of Idaho. Idaho has provided numerous additional interactions with students, parents, principals, and administrators. Dr. Carol Graham continues to work as a teacher and administrator consultant throughout the United States, providing her education expertise and experience. These opportunities, in addition to her wealth of experiences in West Virginia and Montana, provide the settings and backgrounds for her poetry, Children’s books, and illustrations.
