    PREFACE

    On January 6, 2021, the Peoples of the Nation and Peoples of the world witnessed an armed insurrection attempt, giving the appearance of a Massive Mosh Mob of noisy, unconstrained, orgiastic revelry. Stop the Steal! Hang [Vice President] Mike Pence! Pushing, bumping, slamming–even defecating into the inner sanctions–they made a Massive Mosh Pit of the United States Capitol.

    Their Wall of Death killed five and injured many, jeopardizing all Senatorial and Legislative Leaders’ lives. These demonstrators came packing weapons of war, releasing their anger and hate against the U.S. Government officials. They were sent by former President Donald Trump, and many continue to believe–under false pretenses-with a history of multiple statewide and local counts and recounts that the election was stolen. Many didn’t leave the Capitol Grounds until Trump said softly, Go home and be safe.

    Their psychopathic/sociopathic types have generational histories of unchecked, scattered, non-stop massacres and lynchings from the Reconstruction Era to the present that give rise to destructive personalities, sanctioned, and many perpetrated by the police against Kemetic Americans. Their current movement has been largely authorized by the Trump Administration for the purpose of dividing people, and the perpetrators have gone unchecked because radical Republican officials want divisiveness.

    Investigators found that current, former, and retired police were present that day. Some of the insurrectionists were wearing Ku Klux Klan outfits, and others were waving swastika posters, both symbols of racism and white supremacy. The number of demonstrators was estimated at 80,000 and only 880 were arrested in 48 states for acts of treason against the United States.

    The January 6th investigation panel of the United States House of Representatives completed its task after 18 months. On January 3, 2023, the panel recommended that the Justice Department pursue at least four criminal charges against Trump related to his alleged efforts to thwart the transfer of presidential power:

    Obstruction of an official proceeding

    Conspiracy to defraud the United States

    Conspiracy to make a false statement

    Incitement, rebellion or insurrection

    According to the November 18, 2022, CNN Politics broadcast, United States Attorney General Merrick Garland assigned Special Counsel Jack Smith to oversee the criminal investigations into former President Trump’s retention of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort home. Special Counsel Smith was assigned to also examine parts of the January 6th insurrection¹.

    Trump has inculcated fear and hatred by projecting his nemesis - one who imposes retribution from the extension of his name, trumpery. He uses any strategy calculated to deceive by false show; anything externally splendid but intrinsically of little value; worthless finery. Webster’s Unabridged makes this clear!

    We witness former President Trump’s massive manipulation and deception of his Republican base as they mimic his psychological projection, essentially, against The Constitution of the United States of America. Trump encouraged the set-up for 106 House Representatives who joined 17 State Attorneys General to support a Texas lawsuit challenging the election. Former President Trump called Texas Representative Mike Johnson to spearhead the effort to round up support for the Texas lawsuit, according to a 12-11-2020 article in the Washington Post.

    Imagine the psychological state of all of the American people! White supremacy groups are more predominant, police brutality has become more rampant, and hierarchies in the criminal justice system have become more sophisticated.

    Republican voters don’t want to lose face in the eyes of their political leaders, family members, and neighbors–so they lose faith in a future of true humanity and blindly follow the base at the bottom.

    This is occurring at the height of popularity and support for the Black Lives Matter movement. Despite this mental and physical manifestation from without, descendants of Kemet continue to be compelled to reinforce the urgency to plan and work together in various venues to Save-Our-Selves. Active participation eliminates fear and doubt as we reinforce self-confidence while adopting this open-source plan.

    Kemetic descendants living in the United States represent the height of character, ethics, and resiliency throughout every life experience. Our Accumulated population from the 2020 census is 89,922,562. This easily estimates up to almost 90 million. With mutual trust, we can collectively plan and execute focused activities to exponentially improve our economic situations. (See Table 14: Total U.S. Population by Race (2022) p.148.)

    Resist Turbulent Times: Ways to Save-Our-Selves is presently a first edition. It was originally written as the 3rd Edition of Activating Social Solutions: Essential Keys to Progress. The first, published in 2016, was concerned with the killings of George Floyd and others, and assaults against the sons and daughters of Kemet living in America. Events were characterized by marches, demonstrations, and returning home to the same social conditions they left. Published in 2020, the second edition was completed during the Covid-19 national quarantine and just before the attempted insurrection.

    Resist Turbulent Times…, like the Ghanaian Sankofa tradition, takes us back in our recent history so that we can move forward with informed social realities to Save-Our-Selves. It serves as a coaching tool for solutions specialists to bring together family members, friends and neighbors to plan and execute focused activities collectively and constructively Save-Our-Selves, One-by-One and All Together.

    We live in a period of unrelenting social assaults, appearing to take place in isolated silos scattered throughout the United States, targeting family, friends, and neighbors who may or may not know each other. The Zulu Personal Declaration² was originally translated in South Africa in 1825. This profound declaration includes the special relationship one has with one’s neighbor:

    "...My neighbor has a mind;

    It, also, comprehends all things,

    My neighbor and I have the same origins;

    We have the same life-experience and a common destiny;

    We are the obverse and reverse sides of one entity;

    We are unchanging equals;

    We are the faces which see themselves in each other;

    We are mutually fulfilling complements;

    We are simultaneously legitimate values;

    My neighbor’s sorrow is my sorrow;

    His [Her, Their] joy is my joy.

    He [She, They] and I are mutually fulfilled when we stand by each other in moments of need.

    His [Her, Their] survival is a precondition of my survival…."

    The sociopathic personality behaviors of white supremacists, nationally and globally, have become more sophisticated and entrenched in the belief that covertly and overtly, they can assault us as sons and daughters who are descendants of Ancient Kemet with complete impunity.

    I’m referring to the massive harvesting of organs containing our magnificent melanin, mysterious unexplained abductions of children and adult people of color, and fulfilling their objectives within the eugenics plan to exterminate Kemetic/African Americans as part of the global plan for the population reduction of humans on Earth.

    Our situation is critical. Without hesitation, Resist Turbulent Times: Ways to Save-Our-Selves presents historic social realities leading to a manipulated stagnation, giving rise to the false narrative of all the stereotypes attributed to our so-called arrested development. It serves as a root cause analysis of societal actions and efforts that continue to curtail Kemetic progress and how those actions triggered and degraded other events, reducing overall well-being and prosperity.

    Saving-Our-Selves, in real time, we use this knowledge to nurture and coach Solution Specialists to embrace our brilliant minds to work with one another and our neighbors. Yes, our mutual prosperity will ensure personal, physical, and spiritual abundance for Our-Selves and our Posterity.

    INTRODUCTION

    I had the second edition of this book published in 2020. A few things have changed since I published the book now three years ago. Apart from events on a global stage that called on me to address them in this edition, I discovered there were some copyright issues present in the book that required me to look for a new publisher.

    Technically speaking, this should be the third edition of the book, but because of these copyright issues my previous publisher didn’t catch, I have changed the title of the book.

    Previously titled Activating Social Solutions: Essential Keys to Progress, I have now changed the title to Resist Turbulent Times: Ways to Save-Our-Selves.

    There will still be instances of the old title peppered throughout this book because the concepts remain the same as they relate to that section. There will also be references to this being the third edition. Although I could have edited those references out, it would have meant altering entire sections that followed.

    I have been inspired since the nationwide Occupy and, more recently, the Black Lives Matter Movements to write a book that would present a historical context, reinforce personal and community well-being, motivate personal commitment, and give direction for focused future activities that could bring about social change in various unique settings. It is important to keep in mind that our greatest asset is the 90 million empowered human resource of us working together collectively, and that consensus is our guarantee of survival.

    Throughout this book, I refer to Kemet as the ancient name of the continent called Africa, which was named after the Roman Emperor, Africanus. According to Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan, the ancient continental mass was also known as Alkebu-Lan or Ta-Meri/Meri-Ta. I prefer to use the name Kemet--one of the names for Ancient Egypt. Except when quoting others, I will speak of Negroes, Blacks, African Americans, etc. as Kemetics, sons and daughters of Kemet, evidenced by our inherited bloodlines and DNA via the melanin in our bodies.

    Resist Turbulent Times rests on the foundation of my cumulative forty years of professional work in the social services, my lifetime role as a scholar of our contemporary experience, and my reflection on the philosophical tenets of Harold Cruse (1916-2005).

    Harold Cruse was a great visionary of our time and author of (1967) The Crisis of the Negro Intellectual and (1968) Rebellion or Revolution? He holds steadfastly to the fact that an individual, family, nation, neighborhood, or community must exist firmly on a tripod of development in politics, economics, and culture.

    In The Crisis, Cruse drops warnings, instructions, and advice for the cultural intellectual in his historical critiques and social analyses of key events that impacted the lives of Kemetic Americans in the 19th and 20th centuries. His writing brought about anger and heated emotional arguments from his intellectual contemporaries in attempts to defend their positions that essentially had not changed the overall conditions for Kemetic Americans. Rebellion or Revolution? served as a socialist Marxist critique of leaders and activities before and during the Civil Rights and Black Power Social Movements of the late 1960s.

    Resist Turbulent Times intends to draw from Cruse’s analyses as he attempted to respond to his peers, who piled on critique after critique about the way he wrote, what he wrote, who he wrote about, and how he wrote it. They seemed to be fixated on the form but not the substance of The Crisis, which was published during the Civil Rights and Black Power Movements, most blatantly characterized by marches, riots and burning of Black cities.

    Interestingly enough is the fact that seventeen years later, in 1984 and again in 2005, The Crisis was reprinted in
