INTRODUCTION
In reflection: While experiencing this unprecedented historical account of America ‘2020, I felt compelled to document this fast- moving America experience through poems. The information in "Simultaneously" represents year 2020, six months in (Mar-Aug). This easy reading book with pictures captures the timely needed requirements of Americans to safely address the CoVid-19 Pandemic as we simultaneously watch the US unravel through protest.
Covid-19 Pandemic in January 2020, only 5 cases were reported in the US, as of Sept. 2020, Johns Hopkins University reported over 6.5 million diagnosed cases in the USA with close to 194,000 deaths as the academic school year begins. USA has 25% more infections than anywhere else in the world. Politics and ineffective leadership have left millions of people vulnerable to disease and death due to untimely delays and unacceptable posturing.
Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement began to receive national and international groundswell after the brutal death of Mr. George Floyd. Jr. who died at the hands of a Minnesota police officer who kept his knee on Mr. Floyd’s neck for nearly 9 minutes while on-lookers pleaded for his release. It sparked a multi-racial coalition of peaceful protesters against racism and inequalities that has continued to date for over 100 days. Authentic conversations have started about the disproportionate amounts of injustices Blacks have endured and how to progressively move forward. The goal is to address and solidify much needed legislative changes for communities in the areas of healthcare, unemployment, policing, education, and reparation to name a few.

A NOTE ABOUT OUR MARYLAND GOVERNOR, LAWRENCE (LARRY) JOSEPH HOGAN, JR.
A round of applause to our 62nd Republican Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan Jr. for fearlessly leading in the best interest of Maryland citizens during this uninvited, unprecedented CoVid-19 Pandemic.
The only way to get to the other side is to go through.

ADAPT AND THRIVE

Many seeks the face of a ruler, but it is from the LORD that a man gets justice
When alerts warned the US that CoVid-19 would come our way
In a nano-second it arrived provoking
