WHO IS STILL DESTROYING AMERICA?

Woe to you, O destroyer, you who have not been destroyed! Woe to you, O traitor, you who have not been betrayed! When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed—Isaiah 33:1

Most Americans know that our nation is going to hell in a handbasket, but how many of us have thought about who is responsible? In my novel The Evil Ones , America suffers through an era of oppression and misery called the Darkness:

Milestones along the way—asset forfeiture laws, judicial activism, public land grabs, bureaucratic abuses, abortion, hate crime laws, school prayer restrictions, educational decline, gun control, political correctness, and so many others—should have warned Americans of the spreading malevolence of government power over their lives.

Who today bears responsibility for leading America into our forthcoming Darkness? There are too many to cover here, but the rest of this book will uncover most of the others. The media we trust, mainly talk radio, Fox News, and conservative websites and publications, will reveal others. Don’t expect to hear about any of them in our major media; they are one of the causes of our decline.

Politicians at all levels bear much of the responsibility. They have weakened our nation with their big-government, tax-and-spend, multicultural, open-border policies. They endanger our unique American concept of private property through asset forfeiture laws and public land grabs. They jeopardize American freedoms by allowing the judiciary to reinterpret our Constitution. They have undermined our military for political gain by allowing homosexuals, bisexuals, and even transgenders to serve, and assigning women for politically correct reasons to combat positions for which they may be unsuited. They surrender our sovereignty through international treaties and the United Nations. They waste billions of our tax dollars on Department of Education bureaucrats, dollars that states should spend educating our children.

The education establishment also shares responsibility. They have experimented on our children with one new theory after another, but our children learn less and less. When I attended an inner-city grade school decades ago, all of my classmates could read and write, including the black, Hispanic, and dirt-poor children (of which I was one). Too many teenagers nowadays can barely read or write and know little of geography and American history. Bilingual programs divide us as a people and prevent immigrant children from learning the language skills they need to achieve the American dream. Education bureaucrats promote indoctrination rather than education, and conclude they’ve done their job if our children are sensitive to every politically correct and globalist issue. Of course, every child gets a participation trophy, to assure they learn they get rewarded in life no matter how hard they try.

Alan Caruba said it well in his review of the book, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America in which he exposed the government’s Pacesetters in Innovation, a 584-page catalogue of behavior modification programs to be used by the schools:

"Let me repeat that: a catalogue of behavior modification programs! We’re not talking of programs to teach students anything. We are talking about programs to indoctrinate children passing through the system to believe in values contrary to those on which this nation was based.

In brief, the intention was to create a generation or two of Americans who would accept the United Nations, not the United States, as their new ‘nation,’ a global nation, one-world government.

Universities have turned into centers of anti-Americanism, globalism, and socialism, and leftist professors impart those beliefs to their naïve young students. After four or five years of nonstop leftist propaganda, it’s no wonder so many students pick up a leftist tinge by the time they graduate. Fortunately, a few understand what’s happening and remain good Americans.

It gets scarier. In an article in UNESCO Journal, The Impact of Science on Society, the late influential leftist Bertrand Russell wrote: Every government that has been in control of education for a generation will be able to control its subjects securely without the need of armies and policemen. Sure, brainwash them in school, and they’ll follow Big Brother without question.

The major media are the chief propagandists for the leftists in America. They share responsibility because their subtle liberal propaganda, disguised as reporting and editorializing, promotes America’s creeping socialism, our loss of Constitutional rights, moral relativism, and gun control, among others. They (along with their education cohorts) have undermined the sacred institution of marriage by celebrating (that really means promoting) every lifestyle from homosexuality to transgenderism.

The judiciary shares responsibility for reinterpreting the Constitution, legislating from the bench, and creating rights where there are none. The Ninth Circuit Court (sometimes called the Ninth Circus Court) in California banned the words under God from our Pledge of Allegiance and ruled that Americans have no Second Amendment rights. Leftist courts have banned school prayer and public Christmas displays, once forced busing on millions of children, and allowed racial preferences and the burning of the American flag. One especially outrageous ruling was the 1973 Roe v. Wade, in which the Supreme Court created a mythical right to privacy to justify killing an unborn baby up to the moment of birth. Millions of babies have been killed since then. PBS Online observed: while individual rights are considered the cherished base of U.S. law, the Constitution does not mention the right of ‘privacy’ anywhere. Justice Harry A. Blackmun, who argued the idea of privacy rights when he penned the Roe v. Wade decision, could not use any specific sections of the Bill of Rights or previous court rulings to explain his argument.

Federal and state bureaucracies that champion the rights of fish, birds, insects, and animals over humans also share responsibility. They destroy communities and jobs, drive farms and businesses into bankruptcy, and seize land indirectly by declaring private property as wetlands or harboring endangered species.

Celebrities undermine America with their leftist and hate-American public statements here and abroad. They share responsibility for the decline of morals in America. When they openly live together and have babies without benefit of marriage, publicly revel in their homosexuality, take drugs, or break the law, they become destructive role models for our youth.

Radical environmentalists, climate change radicals, animal liberationists, one-world-government fanatics, gun controllers, and other leftist groups share responsibility for destroying America as we knew it just a short time long ago. They have also disrupted communities, eliminated jobs, kept us dependent on foreign oil, and even endangered our lives.

But the final responsibility rests with us, the citizens of this great nation. Malicious people are slowly bleeding the life from our beloved country, and we do nothing about it. We should at least fight back by staying alert, informing other Americans, and letting the offenders and our representatives know exactly how we feel. We made a first step when we elected Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton as president.

WHY ARE AMERICANS TRYING

TO DESTROY AMERICA?

It’s hard to accept that some Americans actually want to transform the America we know and love into something alien to us, but it seems that way since Obama, Reid, Pelosi (since demoted but still mean and powerful), and their progressive/liberal/Marxist gang members roared into Washington. Their policies and laws drafted in total secrecy (after promises of transparency) have made Americans shake their heads in disbelief. How could anyone in our government actually impose those laws and policies on the American people? Their arrogance and disregard for the people they are supposed to serve stunned most of us and helped lead to the Tea Party movement. Why would they shove Obamacare down our throats, for example, when we knew there were better ways to solve the health care problems?

The simple answer is that there are American citizens in our government, and powerful people outside government, who consider themselves citizens of the world or simply hate our country for one reason or another. They envision America of the future as a province under a world government from which they can transfer much of our wealth to corrupt third world nations to achieve economic equality, which means we’ll all (except those in power) live at poverty levels.

To accomplish that, they need the power to control every one of us, our lives, our liberty, our money, even our thoughts. Obamacare was only a beginning. As Glenn Beck noted, they want to be the ranchers over us docile cows. Their beliefs are alien to freedom-loving Americans, but the hate-America elites and thugs are true believers. They have power and influence, and our major media support them. That’s what makes them so dangerous to our nation and our freedoms.

There are many out there. In a Time Magazine article, Strobe Talbott, former Deputy Secretary of State under Bill Clinton, predicted nationhood as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. A phrase briefly fashionable in the mid-20th century — ‘citizen of the world’— will have assumed real meaning by the end of the 21st.

The late Walter Cronkite, one of the twentieth century’s most influential news anchors, touted as the most trusted man in America, was a secret world government advocate the whole time. In 1999, he received the Norman Cousins Award from the World Federalist Association. In his acceptance speech, Cronkite said It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government patterned after our own government with a legislature, executive and judiciary, and police to enforce its international laws and keep the peace. To do that, of course, we Americans will have to give up some of our sovereignty. After his speech, Hillary Clinton broadcast a fawning tribute to him and his views from the White House.

In a speech in Berlin before the 2008 election, candidate Barak Obama said, Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen — a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world. The radicals who befriended him over the years and those he brought to Washington with him include many hate-America and fanatical socialist/Marxist characters, including Reverend Wright, Bill Ayres, Bernadette Dorn, Van Jones, and many of his czars, among others.

President Obama apparently revealed his anti-American sympathies when he spoke to the UN. CNN political contributor and former Reagan political director Ed Rollins noted in a 2009 article for CNN, The president had his first foray into the Byzantine world of U.N. politics last week and walked away cheered on by the anti-America crowd. He appeased the delegations led by tyrants and petty dictatorships by condemning President Bush and spelling out how his administration is going to be different. President Obama was applauded by Castro, Chavez, and Gadhafi (no friends of ours) when he said he wanted a ‘new era of engagement in the world.’…No American president has ever stood before the U.N. body and condemned his predecessor or American foreign policy in such a way. No one except someone who wants to cozy up to Marxist dictators at America’s expense.

How can they accomplish the destruction of America as we know it? In a speech to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, former Colorado governor Dick Lamm outlined exactly how the America haters can destroy our nation from within. Here is a summary of some of their methods:

1.First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures.

2.Invent multiculturalism and encourage immigrants to maintain their own culture, rather than becoming true Americans as previous immigrants did.

3.Make America a Hispanic Quebec. Develop two (or more) cultures and two languages, indeed two kinds of Americans. The key is to celebrate diversity instead of unity.

4.Place all of these subjects off limits for discussion. (Isn’t political correctness wonderful?) Words like ‘racist’ and ‘xenophobe’ halt argument and conversation.

5.Make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. Make those who go through the immigration process legally wait for years, while those who sneak in get to stay and enjoy America’s largesse.

If I wanted to destroy America, their plan would be a good place to start. Uh, wait a minute. Those power-hungry crazies in Washington and elsewhere are already implementing the plan.

I’d also do my best to destroy our economy though government interference (consider Obamacare and probably cap and trade later), weaken American businesses (by oppressive regulations and government takeovers), undermine our education system, weaken the influence of religion, discredit our cherished American institutions (the founding fathers, our Constitution, traditional marriage), and bankrupt our nation through runaway spending, goals they’re already achieving. And, of course, I’d use their propaganda machine — our major liberal media — to brainwash the populace into believing that all of it is either inevitable or for our own good.

Going back to the question of why they arrogantly shoved Obamacare down our throats, even when they knew they risked losing power in the next election, the short answer is that they’re patient. Marxists and their fellow conspirators measure progress in decades, accepting that their progress could be three steps forward, two steps back. As the history of the 20th century shows, their progress has been slow but sure.

They succeeded in ramming through a major seizure of power with Obamacare, so they gave up some power in Congress for a couple of years. But they’re confident that gullible Americans will again return them to full power in the next election, and they’ll continue with their plans for America. In their eyes, America as a free and sovereign nation is doomed.

ARE WE THE WIMPIEST GENERATION?

Tom Brokaw, whose book, The Greatest Generation, honored the magnificent Americans of World War II, said, It is, I believe, the greatest generation any society has ever produced. That generation of men and women emerged undernourished, out of work, and desperately poor from the Great Depression only to have more burdens and sacrifices piled on it in the most brutal, widespread war in history.

Americans rolled up their sleeves and went to work to win the war. They endured shortages and rationing of every necessity, planted victory gardens, bought savings bonds by the millions, and supported their country and their men and women in uniform. Millions joined the military, and even kids as young as 12 successfully lied about their age to enlist.

Tom Brokaw says of them They answered the call to save the world from the two most powerful and ruthless military machines ever assembled, instruments of conquest in the hands of fascist maniacs. They faced great odds and a late start, but they did not protest. They succeeded on every front. They won the war; they saved the world. They came home to joyous and short-lived celebrations and immediately began the task of rebuilding their lives and the world they wanted. And they made America the greatest and most powerful nation in history, an honor America could add to one it already held as the freest nation in history.

We’re now engaged in another war, and what is happening? A letter in the Baltimore Sun sums up one fear: the economy could collapse if we suffer another terrorist attack of the magnitude of those on Sept. 11. People were afraid to fly, so airlines filed for bankruptcy protection. Long lines at airports and idiotic security procedures reflect deep fear within us.

Is it all an overreaction? Some 3,000 innocent people died on 9/11, and the economy suffered a blow. But more die every month in auto accidents, and the economy doesn’t head into a tailspin. During World War II, almost a million of our young people were killed or wounded, but we emerged from that tragedy stronger than ever.

Are we the heirs to the great legacy left us by the Greatest Generation? Are we as good as they were back then? Or are we scared stiff to the point of denial and inaction?

What would the Greatest Generation have done about the attacks on 9/11? Those who were there can tell you. First, they wouldn’t spend much time grieving as a nation. They’d fight back.

They would have unashamedly profiled, and not just at airports. They would have collared suspicious Middle Eastern males and locked them up until they could sort things out. The men would be investigated and interrogated again and again to determine whether they were involved with an Islamist cell, front group, or charity that supported terrorists. Anyone who was guilty would be imprisoned or even hanged without much fuss, just as German saboteurs captured in America were punished during World War II. Anyone who was an illegal alien or even a bin Laden sympathizer would be put on a plane to the other side of the world.

Then they’d go to war. They’d identify their enemies and go after them. A Japanese Admiral who had lived in America said after the attack on Pearl Harbor: I fear that all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.

The wide-awake giant of America would kick butt and take names in any country that might have helped in the attacks against us. They wouldn’t let the wimpy politicians and Europeans influence how the war was fought. They’d let the military do the job the way it should be done. The world would get the message and quickly eliminate any terrorist groups operating within their borders.

And they wouldn’t give a ticker’s dam about world opinion. They didn’t ask for a consensus after Pearl Harbor, and they wouldn’t worry about one now. America was attacked, and they’d either kill every one of America’s enemies and bomb their land into rubble or force them into unconditional surrender. There would be no quarter given, no political correctness, and no repeated attempts at wimpy diplomacy in their war.

And on the home front, they’d fly the flag, spend money, and buy stocks to support their country and the war effort. They’d seal the borders, and wouldn’t even consider putting out water jugs so infiltrators wouldn’t die of thirst.

They’d load their guns—gun control not even being a possibility in their America—and organize to protect family, home, neighborhood, and country. A hijacker could never seize an airplane because every pilot would have a gun and use it to send him to Allah before his time. And they’d demand that our schools, universities, Hollywood, and the media support the war effort rather than blaming America or promoting a defeatist attitude.

And what if there were more attacks of Sept. 11th magnitude? Each attack would make the American giant angrier and more resolved to root out and destroy its enemies.

Are we as good as the Greatest Generation? Look around and see whether we are. If not, our enemies will win, and we’ll lose everything dear to us. Everything.

ISRAEL GETS REVENGE:

A LESSON IN THE WAR ON TERROR

In April, 1983, a truck bomb carrying 2,000 pounds of explosives exploded outside the U. S. Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, killing 63 people, among them 17 Americans. An Islamic group claimed responsibility. Six months later, a truck loaded with explosives crashed into the U. S. Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 Americans. Across town, another blast killed 58 French soldiers. President Ronald Reagan noted that the troops, died as they slept, resting from the duties of trying to keep peace in Lebanon. He later said of terrorists: You can run, but you can’t hide.

But the perpetrators of the Beirut attacks did run, and they did hide, and they’re generally still free. Those savages got away with murder, killing 258 good Americans and a lot of allies and innocent civilians.

Rewind to another attack eleven years earlier. At the Olympic games in Munich, Germany in 1972, eight members of Black September, a violent arm of the Palestine Liberation Organization, killed two Israeli athletes and took nine others hostage in Olympic Village. The tragedy unfolded on international television, and the world looked on in confusion and horror. The terrorists demanded a plane for their escape to Egypt. At a shootout at the airport, the terrorists killed all nine hostages. German Army sharpshooters killed five terrorists and wounded three. Within weeks, the cowardly German authorities caved in to threats from PLO leaders and released the three terrorists.

Did the Israeli government simply announce that those involved could run but not hide, then allow them to continue on their merry terrorist ways, as we did? It could have been so. The day after the attack, the widow of a victim flew to Munich and said, Somebody has to pay a price. Because it cannot be that people can terrorize other people and kill them. And there is no price to be paid.

But a price would be paid—in blood. Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir instructed Zvi Zamir, the head of Mossad, to exact revenge, essentially giving an official order for an eye for an eye. He requested an official James Bond license to kill terrorists abroad. He got it. The 2005 movie Munich showed some of the action that followed.

Just weeks after the attack, Wael Zwaiter, a translator at the Libyan Embassy in Rome who doubled as a terrorist leader, became the first target. At the door to his apartment building, two men stepped from the shadows and asked, Are you Wael Zwaiter? Zwaiter answered in the affirmative, and the Mossad agents pumped twelve bullets into him.

In Israel, the widow who had flown to Munich got a call. The caller simply told her to watch the ten o’clock news, which carried news of the first assassination. After each assassination, mysterious callers reportedly informed each widow.

In Paris, Dr. Mahmoud Hamshari, the head of Black September in France, was next. When he answered his phone one day, it exploded.

Israeli agents killed PLO operatives across Europe one after another. Then came the most daring operation of all. Just seven months after the Olympic attacks, Israeli commandos slipped ashore near Beirut, Lebanon. Three pre-positioned cars awaited them. The leader, Ehud Barak, later to become Israeli Prime Minister, reportedly dressed as a woman to make the group appear to be a family on an outing. At the PLO apartment complex, Barak killed the guard. The commandos broke into the apartment of Kamal Adwan, the PLO’s chief of operations, and pumped 55 bullets into him. They killed two other PLO leaders then returned to the beach. The entire operation took thirty minutes. It sent a message to the terrorists: You’re not even safe in friendly territory.

By then, Mossad had killed eleven terrorists, but one man at the top of the Mossad hit list, Ali Hassan Salameh, a young protégé of Yasser Arafat and the planner of the Munich attack, was still free. Mossad tracked him to Lillehammer, Norway, coincidentally the future site of the 1994 winter Olympics. Agents pumped 14 bullets into the man who exactly matched Ali’s description. Unfortunately, Mossad had committed its only blunder of the operation: They had killed an innocent Moroccan waiter.

Salameh escaped and was still free and living the good life in Beirut. Seven years after the Munich attacks, an English woman moved into an apartment overlooking the street near his apartment. She sat at the window every day and painted street scenes. One day, on the street below, Salameh passed by a car Mossad had packed with explosives. She gave a signal. He never knew what hit him.

CBS News asked the former head of Mossad what message Mossad wanted to send. That we shall reach them, replied Zamir. And each one of them will be responsible for his own crime.

When Ehud Barak was asked about the 9/11 attack on America, he replied: What the hell is wrong about hitting someone who did not hesitate to use hijacked planes with 150 tons of fuel as a living cruise missile to kill 5,000 people?

Bob Simon of CBS News noted: The Israelis tracked down and killed the terrorists, and some of their friends as well. It was an eye for an eye. Now that President Bush has told the CIA to take its gloves off, the Israeli tactics have become an object lesson in Washington. The Israelis conducted the most daring assassination campaign of our time.

In our first assassination, we killed six terrorists in Yemen with a missile from a drone. Let’s not stop with just a few assassinations. This is war. Those savages declared war on us and the rest of the civilized world. Let’s pull out the stops and go after every one of those barbarians that we can find. The more we kill, the safer we will be.
