The Colors of the Rainbow
––––––––
The sky stretched endlessly above the vast plains of the French countryside. The verdant fields extended to the horizon, bathed in the rays of the sun piercing through the scattered clouds. It was a spring day, where the air was filled with the sweet scent of newly blossomed flowers.
In the midst of this peaceful landscape stood a modest little farm. Its whitewashed stone walls shimmered in the sunlight, while the blue shutters swayed gently in the light breeze. In the shade of an old oak tree, a figure stood motionless, contemplating the spectacle unfolding before him.
It was Luc, a solitary farmer with a tender heart, whose tired eyes reflected the wisdom of many seasons spent working the land. He watched the sky with silent intensity, searching for something beyond the lazy clouds drifting by.
Suddenly, a burst of light broke the monotony of the sky. A rainbow emerged from behind the clouds, its vibrant colors painting a magical canvas in the clear air. The vibrant hues of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet harmoniously blended, forming a celestial bridge between earth and sky.
Luc felt his heart race at the sight of this celestial spectacle. He had always been fascinated by rainbows, seeing in them a symbol of hope and renewal. Whenever he spotted one, he felt transported to a world of magic and mystery, far from the daily worries of farm life.
This time, however, the rainbow seemed different. It shone with a particular intensity, as if it carried a secret message meant for whoever could decipher it. Luc began to walk through the fields, his boots sinking into the fresh earth, following the path traced by the colors of the rainbow.
As he advanced, the colors seemed to come alive around him, dancing in the air like joyful spirits. Luc was overwhelmed by a profound sense of joy, as if he were an integral part of this symphony of colors enveloping the world.
Soon, he reached the edge of a small stream winding through the fields. The crystal-clear water reflected the colors of the rainbow, creating a dazzling tableau of light and movement. Luc knelt at the water's edge, letting his fingers skim the smooth surface, capturing the fleeting brilliance of the colors dancing before him.
That's when he saw something strange in the middle of the stream. A dark shape, almost invisible under the water's surface, seemed to beckon to him. Without hesitation, Luc plunged his hand into the cold water, grabbing the shape and gently pulling it towards the shore.
It was a small bird, injured and soaked, its feathers dulled by the mud of the stream. Luc cradled the bird in his hands with care, feeling his heart ache at the creature's vulnerability. He observed it closely, noticing the shades of blue and green adorning its tired
