De Theeclub
––––––––
The Tea Club
––––––––
In the tranquil town of Lankveld, nestled among green hills and babbling brooks, a special tradition thrived: the Tea Club. Every Wednesday afternoon, when the sun slipped its rays through the lace curtains of the old inn, a group of friends gathered around a table filled with steaming teapots and colorful biscuits. This was their sanctuary, a refuge for souls longing for companionship and warmth.
Anna, a middle-aged lady with a smile that had etched deep lines into her face, was the driving force behind the Tea Club. She started the tradition years ago, when she had just moved to Lankveld and felt lonely in the new surroundings. Now, years later, the Tea Club had grown into an institution where friendship was forged and memories were brewed.
On a windy Wednesday afternoon, while autumn leaves danced to the melody of the wind, the members of the Tea Club gathered for their weekly meeting. Anna greeted them with her usual warmth, her eyes twinkling behind her round glasses.
Among the members of the Tea Club were various colorful characters. There was Frans, the retired postman with his ever-present cap and booming laugh. Then there was Martine, the shy librarian who shared her love for books with her love for tea. And of course, there was Johan, the young artist who always seemed to carry a hint of mystery with him.
