About this ebook
Zek Stone had finally been exonerated from the lies of his step-brother, after 40 years of endless hell and purgatory, and needed a real vacation. Unfortunately, something went wrong, once again, with his plans, and under more pressure from persecution and rejection, he accidentally morphed out, again. This time it was like nothing he had ever experienced before.
Zek Stone had just won a court-case against his step-brother for character defamation and he felt he had finally deserved to take some time off for a vacation. But a spy on his computer and a secret candid camera exposure caused him to make a serious technical mistake and he paid for it by losing access to an online playground which was the epitome of computer dating services in the 21st century.
He was just looking for potential friends to spend some time with on his summer vacation later that year, and his failure to explore deep within the settings of the online browser put him on candid camera and made him a fool for the world to laugh at, and a domestic spy on his computer caused him to make a bad technical mistake and the next time he visited the online playground, his user-code was rejected.
He couldn't handle the persecution and rejection. He morphed out and lost it completely, and the madman inside him went wild.
Episode 25 of the Multivertical Man is a crazy trip across the multiverse, in which Zek Stone, reluctant Multivertical Traveler, finally escapes Aton 5, and reaches a Par Median parallel much closer to his "home-parallel" than he has been in decades.

I was born in another parallel of Earth just a few years before John Kennedy was assassinated and I was transferred to this parallel after a motorcycle accident in late 1982. After 3 years of homelessness, I was inspired to become a science-fiction writer and committed myself to the task once I had managed to find a job and a place to plug in a typewriter. I worked on the job like a good robot for 10 years while writing science-fiction on my free time. After failing to get any books published due to a low demand (every publisher explained how they were selling less books every year), I decided to get into small-publishing and accessed the local copy-outlet to publish my own books. But I didn't have enough money to print more than a handful at a time, and almost no one was interested in buying any of it.It wasn't until 2004, after I managed to save enough money for a new computer, that I began to make some real progress. I was able to do a much better job with book-making and the quality of my books improved. But still they did not sell, so I simply small-published them at my own website online and offered them for free through the website. The website was up until 2008, when I lost my apartment and spent some time homeless again.Aside from writing science-fiction, I started working with 2d computer graphics and animation in late 2004, and got into 3d computer graphics and animation in 2009, after finding another apartment. I've been working with 3d computer graphics, trying to go somewhere there, but I've had problems paying for the software.I wrote "Fool's Errand: Redemption" as the last book in the Temspace-Variant Series in 2015 and turned it into an ebook in 2017. Because I am also a 3d computer graphics artist, I decided to try my hands at my first ebook cover and produced the cover for "Fool's Errand: Redemption" to go with it.

Introduction: The Victim of an Evil Step-Brother
Let's get down to hard facts. During the 1970s, after the Vietnam war, if the Reformists, Protestants, and other antiwar pacifists had known about the method of gas-lighting and pathological lies that the step-brother, Jarges Tenrut Junior, used against his stupid little brother
, Ren Tenrut (aka Zek Stone), they would have known the step-brother was a fascist, because the methods he used on his brother were fascist
methods.
It did not go that way because the step-brother very cleverly kept the methods a secret between the two of them, by simply practicing them in secret, without any witnesses, and by denying everything and making his stupid little brother
out to be a liar, while securing his senior name-sake's
support. In other words, he gas-lighted
him.
The senior name-sake (Jarges Tenrut Senior) trusted his junior name-sake's word, and Jarges Junior was a devious, back-stabbing sibling-rival who hated his brother Ren the day he was born and started lying about him the day after.
After the parents left the two brothers alone for the first time in 1965, Jarges Junior redefined the meaning of responsible
older brother to mean he was the master
and his stupid little brother
was the slave
.
After Ren failed to perform like the perfect toy-robot for him, Jarges Junior punished him, forced him to the floor, sat on him, put him in pain, and said, I'm the boss and you gotta do what I tell you or else!
When Ren reported this violation
of his rights to the parents, Jarges denied it, and made Ren out to be a trouble-maker
just for not performing like a perfect toy-robot for him.
Jarges Junior twisted the truth into something of a lie designed to be used as a weapon against Ren, and the step-father, his senior name-sake
bought every bit of it. The step-father trusted his junior name-sake's
word over the younger brother Ren's word, and handed Jarges Junior
the whip and told him to use it on Ren.
Thereafter, having managed to lie and get away with it, the step-brother morphed into something much closer to the son of Satan, as he dominated the stupid little brother
, and there was nothing Ren could do about it.
The step-father trusted Jarges Junior's word over Ren's word, and Jarges knew how to lie to hurt Ren and get away with it. Ren was thereafter reluctant to report any more such violations
that the step-brother made upon his rights, because Jarges made Ren out to be a liar
and the step-father believed it.
The step-father suspected the younger brother Ren was a bastard because he was born with brunette hair
instead of blond, like all of the other males. The step-brother, the junior name-sake
, exploited that weakness every time he lied about the younger brunette
brother.
Every lie Jarges told about Ren was like another nail in his coffin. By the time they had graduated from high school, the coffin had been assembled, all nails intact, and it was ready for Ren's stupid little bastard
body anytime.
In 1971 or 72, the step-brother threatened to kill Ren to keep him from talking about him to anyone after Ren told the parents about something Jarges did because he thought it was funny and figured they would too.
After he made the threat, he used an evil eye
on Ren in every social situation they were in, to remind him of the threat. Every time Jarges used the evil eye
on him, Ren was suspended in a state of fear and confusion, and didn't know what to say.
Jarges exploited the evil eye
to control Ren like a toy-robot whenever they were together in all social situations. When he did so, it was just like telling Ren to shut up
with his eyes, without any need for words, and nobody knew he was doing it but Ren.
Under such insidious eye
control from Jarges, Ren could say nothing to anyone about it, under threat that Jarges would kill
him if he did.
In the summer of 1975, the step-brother lied to the mother about a girl Ren was seeing to get Ren away from her, and succeeded with the action. Ren lost the girl because of the lies and Jarges covered the whole thing up, feigned innocence, and got away with it.
Nobody knew what he did because he went behind Ren's back and the mother didn't know he lied. Ren had no proof at the time that Jarges did anything, only the suspicion, and any accusations Ren made would have been denied.
He continued to give Ren the evil eye
after that summer, in spite of what he had done, as if he had done nothing wrong and could simply continue to control Ren like a toy robot
no matter what Ren thought, and Ren was forced to keep his mouth shut, to avoid punishment.
With the support of the step-father (his senior name-sake), Jarges Junior had established himself as the master
over Ren, and Ren was his subordinate slave
whether he liked it or not.
Later, in the summer of 1978, he turned Ren into a stupid religious-right mouse of a man, simply because Ren showed no interest in getting naked
with Jarges and his friends, on one fatal day that summer.
By 1980, Jarges Junior's lies had Ren looking like a foolish Neokon brat who took sides with the religious-right, while Ren was still nursing a broken heart from the loss of the girl Jarges had stolen from him in 1975.
Jarges had managed to continue to use the evil eye
on Ren the whole time, over and over again, every time he needed it, in every social situation, and Ren was led to believe that all he had to do to stay alive and keep Jarges from killing him was keep his mouth shut about Jarges.
So Ren kept his mouth shut, but he could not have foreseen what happened later in 1982.
The last thing Ren Tenrut expected was an accidental death
and loss of memory.

Prologue
Mad Mouse versus Porky Pig Propaganda
"Step-brother was a gas-lighter,
who lied about me all the time,
he got away with all of it,
as his senior name-sake
,
trusted his word over mine.
"The stone-cold logic cannot be denied,
I am a victim of my step-brother's lies,
and no one understands it better than I."
Step-brother's lies were pathological, designed to make me look stupid and take the blame for everything that went wrong with everything. He made me look
stupid" and taught everyone to persecute me for it.
He was so successful at lying about me and using lies against me, that by 1982, I had lost all of my friends and everyone who knew me resented me and rejected me for
apparently" being opposed to some of their favorite civil liberties.
He had managed to turn me into some kind of religious-right nut who was a huge bore to be with, because I didn't know how to have
fun on my free time, and apparently, preferred to waste all of my time
working" or stirring up trouble or something.
"I had an accident in late 1982, lost my memory, and spent almost 3 years homeless, in Southern California, after being sent there with a one-way bus-ticket by the family, following the lies and directives of the step-brother.
"After I returned to the east coast in 1985, still suffering from memory-loss due to the accident, my step-brother's lies preceded me, and I was persecuted by the majority who knew me and nobody wanted me in their company.
After somebody decided to give me a job and a second chance, it was up against the lies of my step-brother, and more lies came after it. I was accused of being a
Neokon brat and a
gay weak link by my step-brother and the fascist phony lefties that were a part of his
Porky Pig party".
Those lies added to the lie about me being a
religious-right nut" who was opposed to simple human nudity, sex education, and sex outside of marraige, and made me look like bad news for all of the Protestants, Catholic Reformists, and Buddhists that dominated the world-reality.
In the end, they were telling bad jokes about me being some kind of religious-right, gay weak Neokon brat that preferred
boys over
girls and was therefore considered a
threat to their kids, and I was not permitted to go anywhere near them without some kind of responsible
adult supervision. According to my step-brother's lies, supported by the
porky pigs", I could not be trusted with their kids.
The ones who continued to treat me like a
Neokon brat were the ones who continued to persecute me and perpetuate the lies about me and continued to support harsh
tough love" treatments for me, because they continued to believe the step-brother's lies about me.
They were apparently not enlightened by my unofficial
Defense Report, published in 2021, even if they did hear or read anything about it.

On the first day that we were left alone, in 1965, and the step-brother violated my rights, then denied it after the fact, and got away with it, he discovered a power to gas-light me which he exploited for the next 2 decades of my previous life, before he destroyed me with that power.

Chapter One
A Mouse that Made a Mistake
Stone sat in his apartment, toked on the pipe for a few minutes, mellowed out, and thought about the case he had just won against his step-brother. He felt some relief and tried to relax as he realized it was something he had been working on for the past 4 decades, while recovering from an accident in late 1982.
It was a relief to finally have it done. He had finally proven, in a legal court of law, that his step-brother, Jarges, was a big liar. After 4 decades of persecution in a loveless purgatory, suffering from memory-loss and lost in confusion, he had finally exonerated himself from the lies of his step-brother.
He sat in the corner of the apartment and stared at the 3d background on his flat-screen desk-top. It was a scene from one of the 3d environments he had constructed, a beautiful lakeside with a stone mountain and trees. It was great for relaxing the nerves, just like having a window to a beautiful, natural garden in one's back-yard.
Around 8 pm, after he had an evening meal, he began to get bored. All he had to do offline, aside from staring into the window to the garden
, was a bunch of video reruns. Unfortunately, he had no friends to turn to in the physical reality, and all of the local playside clubs had been shut down due to a recent pandemic
, in 2020, and never reopened.
As a result, there was no where to go to spend a few bucks on a pretty girl just for a fun little chat and some eye candy, to help him relax. Stone knew he had been cast into a religious-right parallel, but he also knew that he was a reformist at heart, and hated being enslaved by religious-right rules and regulations on everything.
Stone didn't want to get too bored, otherwise it could lead to depression, and in his own case, quite possibly further madness. He saw no reason to be depressed or mad, after he won the case against his step-brother, so he sought a way to avoid boredom.
He recalled the Par Median playground, wondered if he could locate it, and decided to go online to try and locate the address and get access. The Par Median playground was an online
playground where people could meet other people with similar interests, for play and recreational escapes.
Within the home-parallel, the online playground
became the logical future of computer dating services, making it easier for everyone to find friends online than ever before, without so much red-tape.
Originally, Stone was located within the home-parallel, before an accident in late 1982, which led to his demotion and transfer. He was unjustly punished upon the basis of his step-brother's lies, which he never had a chance to contradict, because the step-brother threatened to kill him to keep him from talking about him to anyone. Stone never expected to be involved in an accident and never expected to be unjustly punished because of his step-brother's lies.
He had lost his memory in the accident, and he was confused about his real
disposition, until he recovered enough memory to figure it out. After recovering enough memory and contrasting his disposition within the Aton 5 parallel, he knew it was not his home-parallel
. There were too many differences.
He was no longer in the home-parallel, and he had lost civil rights and liberties to a fascist religious-right
state, civil rights which all humans enjoyed within the home-parallel
. One of those civil rights
and liberties was the right to consensual sex outside of marriage. It was an individual
right which was lost, along with many others, when zero tolerance policies
were introduced in 1981, which violated some of the most basic Constitutional civil rights
.
Within the home-parallel, individuals continued to have the protection of the Constitution, and the state had no right spying on anyone and dictating who they could work or play
with. So there was no Nanny state
in the home parallel, acting like the big brothers and sisters
to all young people while controlling their free-time
and who they spent it with.
But within the Aton 5 parallel, it was somewhat different. It was interwoven with trolls and secret government agents or spooks
who didn't know how to take a day off from work.
Most of the agents who mixed it up with the players
worked for the Nanny State
against potential sex predators
while covering young girls backsides like big brothers and daddy roosters, as if they owned all the girls in the world and everyone had to go through them to get anywhere with any of them.
So, things were not so simple within the Aton 5 parallel. Due to the state of endless war instigated by the Neokons within the Aton 5 parallel, the big brothers
and big sisters
acted like secret government security over everyone, while treating all the poor males as potential sex predators just for being interested in girls to begin with.
No such attitude prevailed over the Par Median Playground within the home-parallel because there was no endless state of war imposed by the Neokons, and as a result, individual players
retained their independence and rights, without being oppressed by any big brothers or sisters
supporting a fascist Nanny State
that spied on everyone.
Reaching the Par Median was not easy from the extreme right-wing shadow Earth Aton 5. It was one of the more interesting ways to escape Aton 5
, but it wasn't easy. The addresses had been blocked in the past and getting around the blocks was not easy.
He wondered if he had a better chance at such an escape from Aton 5, now that he had won his case against the step-brother.
If he was still within the same sub-parallel of Aton 5 as he was before
he won the case, the telecom and internet services were under the control of the Neokons and the religious-right
and they had gained more control since introducing the new Marisoft system upgrades in 2016.
After the Marisoft 10 system was introduced, they had begun spying on their customers more and letting the secret government in through the backdoors, and they had also begun blocking
addresses that didn't work for them or go along with their religious-right
policies and imperial wars.
The secret government that spied upon everyone was given a universal key to get in through the back-door of every Marisoft 10 system in the world and spy on it and the user. Apparently, no one could prevent such violations because the secret government denied everything
and had too much power. Apparently, within the Aton 5 parallel, the secret government had a long list of excuses for violating anyone and everyone's Constitutional rights and absolutely nobody could stop them.
By 2020, they had turned such violations into a common practice and business as usual
, while looking over everyone's shoulders, and leaning on them, while they worked (and played) with their computers, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop them.
Somehow, within the Aton 5 parallel, the secret government had lied to the world, gotten away with the lies, and led everyone to believe that they had nothing to worry about, as long as they were perfect robots for their religious-right masters.
Stone was not a religious-right
man. His step-brother's lies had made him out to be a religious-right
man, but he was not. Stone was a Reformist
and had always been a Reformist. His step-brother had gas-lighted
him into submission, controlled him like a toy-robot with an evil eye
, and forced him to keep his mouth shut while he directed him to his degradation.
Stone couldn't see the forest for the trees when his step-brother led him to his demotion to the size of a foolish religious-right mouse, after one fatal day in the summer of 1978, when Stone chose to avoid playing in the nude
with his step-brother and his friends.
Everyone hated him after that day, not just because he chose to avoid the notion of playing in the nude, but because he failed to explain why when his step-brother used the evil eye
on him at the same time and he was unable to talk about it to anyone.
Regardless of what happened on that day in the summer of 1978, despite what his step-brother had done to him with lies, the truth was, Stone was not religious-right
, he was a Reformist
who agreed with Martin Luther and the Protestants.
In retrospect, he realized what his step-brother had done, after gas-lighting him into submission.
His step-brother had seized the opportunity to do something he had always wanted to do to Stone. He had turned him into something everyone resented and rejected: a religious-right fascist fool who was opposed to everyone's civil liberties.
Stone was no such creature, but he had been in an accident in late 1982, before he was able to contradict his step-brother's lies. He had been unfairly misjudged, upon the basis of his step-brother's lies, and what came out of that one fatal day in the summer of 1978.
It was why he was demoted and transferred to the Aton 5 parallel.
It was why he was placed into the care
of religious-right fascists who lied to take the Constitution away from Amerikans in the early 1980s.
It was, as a matter of fact, a form of persecution and punishment. The step-brother's lies led everyone to believe that Stone was a religious-right
fascist, and so they punished him by condemning him to a religious-right
fascist
parallel (Aton 5), where he was forced to suffer beneath the oppressive power of religious-right fascists.
It was over 4 decades since he was originally transferred after the accident in late 1982. After 4 decades of persecution and punishment below the poverty-line, he had finally managed to prove his step-brother lied in 1975 to get him separated from Vesa and lied again in the summer of 1978 to turn everyone against him and get him pushed out into the cold.
He wondered about his present disposition within the multiverse. He wondered if the win against his step-brother had affected any positive changes and if he had managed to get into a sub-parallel closer to the Par Median or the home-parallel.
He was quite alone, as usual, with the situation. He was so alone, he had made no new friends in the present parallel, aside from those pertaining to business associations, with the 3d company and the justice department. Those people were more like business associates than actual friends. He had shared work with the 3d company and shared his case with the justice department.
As for his life outside of work, he had no time or money for it, until now. He had made no friends
because he had no time or money for it, outside of the work and the worries. For 4 decades, he had worked like a good robot with whatever work he could do at the time, and failed at making friends outside of work.
He had analyzed his problem some time ago and failed to resolve it. His problem was simple, He simply did not make enough money to play the game
of life outside of work
. To play that game in the Aton 5 parallel, one had to make enough money to pay for everything that went with the status, and he had failed.
He had tried and found the task impossible and eventually figured out his step-brother's lies had something to do with it. He figured out why he couldn't get anywhere with people and why nobody wanted him in their company. He figured out his step-brother lied in 1975 and 1978, covered up the lies, and the lies worked against him.
In fact, after recovering memories from before the accident, he figured out his step-brother had gas-lighted
him into submission for 20 years, threatened to kill him
to keep him from talking freely, controlled him lie a toy-robot with an evil eye
, and destroyed him with that power. He figured out what his step-brother did to him, the evil deeds which led to Stone's accident in late 1982, his demotion, and
