I was born in another parallel of Earth just a few years before John Kennedy was assassinated and I was transferred to this parallel after a motorcycle accident in late 1982. After 3 years of homelessness, I was inspired to become a science-fiction writer and committed myself to the task once I had managed to find a job and a place to plug in a typewriter. I worked on the job like a good robot for 10 years while writing science-fiction on my free time.After failing to get any books published due to a low demand (every publisher explained how they were selling less books every year), I decided to get into small-publishing and accessed the local copy-outlet to publish my own books. But I didn't have enough money to print more than a handful at a time, and almost no one was interested in buying any of it.It wasn't until 2004, after I managed to save enough money for a new computer, that I began to make some real progress. I was able to do a much better job with book-making and the quality of my books improved. But still they did not sell, so I simply small-published them at my own website online and offered them for free through the website. The website was up until 2008, when I lost my apartment and spent some time homeless again.Aside from writing science-fiction, I started working with 2d computer graphics and animation in late 2004, and got into 3d computer graphics and animation in 2009, after finding another apartment. I've been working with 3d computer graphics, trying to go somewhere there, but I've had problems paying for the software.I wrote "Fool's Errand: Redemption" as the last book in the Temspace-Variant Series in 2015 and turned it into an ebook in 2017. Because I am also a 3d computer graphics artist, I decided to try my hands at my first ebook cover and produced the cover for "Fool's Errand: Redemption" to go with it.

Introduction: Out of the Shadows

Zek Stone was transferred to the shadow Earth Aton 5, after an accident in 1982, because of an evil step-brother's lies which were used against him, and because the step-brother threatened to kill Stone if he talked to anyone about him.

Stone never had the chance to defend himself against his step-brother's lies and was unjustly sentenced to a cruel and unjust punishment in the Aton 5 parallel, where the United States of America was hijacked by the Neo-fascists hiding behind an ultra-conservative right-wing political front-party known as the Neokons, in the early 1980s.

The Neokons started a war on drugs and targeted anyone who possessed marijuana in the early 1980s, just after they took the Executive Command. They used the war on drugs as an excuse for introducing extremely anti-Constitutional Zero Tolerance policies which gave the government the powers to violate everyone's civil and constitutional rights, and they went on to destroy the true antiwar left-wing with that power.

The Neokons were hiding behind a phony political front that made them out to be family values people who feared for the children while keeping all poor, common people in cages on short leashes, with their civil rights and civil liberties reduced to the bare minimum necessary for survival.

In the final analysis of his case, Stone was able to deduce that the simple reason why he was demoted and transferred to the Aton 5 parallel was because his step-brother led everyone to believe that he was a religious-right nut who was opposed to civil liberties and the antiwar pacifists, who were mostly Protestants and Catholic Reformists, simply because he was not interested in going naked with the step-brother and his friends on one fatal day in the summer of 1978.

Stone never had a fair chance to defend himself against his step-brother's lies because the step-brother threatened to kill him if he talked about him to anyone, and he kept giving Stone the evil eye after that fatal day, to keep him from talking.

Before the accident, Stone wanted to tell people about his step-brother, about how fascist he was and about how he threatened to kill Stone just for talking about him, but he kept giving Stone the evil eye and reminding him of the threat, and forced Stone to keep his mouth shut.

Stone kept the secrets of the evil step-brother up until the day he was killed in a motorcycle accident in late 1982, and he was wrongfully misjudged because of the lies.

Stone died after the accident in late 82, was misjudged based upon his step-brother's lies, and he was demoted and transferred to Aton 5 for refractory discipline, for being so very wrong about so much (according to the step-brother's lies).

It was as if that fatal day and the judgment made upon his case preceded the Aton 5 parallel, and Aton 5 was nothing less than a sentence in hell and purgatory.

It was as if they had said, almost unanimously, Well, if he doesn't want to have fun, to Hell with him! and Stone was sentenced to Hell, and the sentence in Hell eventually led to a sentence in Aton 5 purgatory.

At the time, in early 2023, Stone had just completed 40 years of his sentence within the shadow Earth Aton 5 and continued to work hard to exonerate himself. He had just completed and published a biographical and historical story entitled A Defense Report for 2018, in an attempt to exonerate himself.

It told the true story of what happened in the late 1970s which led to his accidental death in late 1982, and it exposed a step-brother and his pathology of lies as the cause. However, because it was told using pseudonyms to protect the innocent, nobody who read it knew who the real characters involved were, so everyone's real identities were kept hidden from the general public, including the real identity of the step-brother.

Along with being a victim of gas-lighting violations and lies, he has been taking medicine for his problem with PTSD and to avoid something known as a Schizophrenic Refraction which has been known to occur during a full-moon.

Please Take Note:

This story is based upon the facts which are included within the Journal Notes which are a part of a Defense Report, which are the basis for the main character Zek Stone. Ren Tenrut is a pseudonym for the original identity of Zek Stone, used in historical references about the past.

The Journal Notes are all based upon factual events experienced by Ren Tenrut before an accident in late 1982, and Zek Stone later, after the accident and after years of memory-recovery and confusion.

Aton 5 has its roots in a deep, dark past before 1980, in the 1960s and 1970s, which was the reality of the home-parallel. Aton 5 is a shadow earth which took an extreme right turn after 1980, and within the hands of the Neokons, lost its Constitution to a perpetual war and evolved in a much more dystopian direction, in contrast to the home-parallel.

The Afterword section is also based upon factual reality and speculations about the mystery of the multiverse, the Aton 5 parallel, and the home-parallel.

The Multivertical Man is a continuous series which follows Zek Stone across the multivertical parallels as he survives against the elements, gets lost in the shadows, fights demons in the dark, tries to make sense of the mysteries of the multiverse, and searches for a way to return to his home parallel.

This particular vacation trip to Florida is a science-fiction fantasy and a pipe-dream.

Prologue: The Step-Brother's Pathology of Lies Continues

"My step-brother lied about me every day when we were young, and the step-father, his senior name-sake, believed every bit of it and hated me for it. Step-brother lied about me because he hated me and wanted everyone to reject me. The step-father believed it all and forced the mother to go along with step-brother's lies also.

The idea step-brother had from the very beginning was to turn everyone against me, to push me out of his reality. He managed to do so after one fatal day in the summer of 1978, simply because I was not interested in going naked with him and his friends. He told everyone I was too stupid" to grow up and be an adult.

He also perpetuated the same lies he always told, including the one that led everyone to believe that I couldn't be trusted, like I was working for the enemy or something, and I was kicked as far out into the cold as they could kick me.

In 2015, after the family found out about how step-brother had stabbed me in the back in the summer of 1975 and covered it all up, and word got around, the step-brother made a simple confession designed to avoid any further implications. He lied again and led the family to believe that he had made one little mistake with me in 75 and never did anything intentional" to hurt me.

This was a huge lie. My step-brother denigrated me all the time, told lies about me every day, violated my rights and denied it after the fact and got away with it (gas-lighting), and furthermore, he threatened to kill me if I talked about him to anyone, and controlled me like a toy-robot with a constant evil eye" (to remind me of the threat).

In the summer of 1975, the step-brother lied to our mother to have me sent on a fool's errand" to get me away from the girl I was seeing (Vesa Amberly), covered it all up after the fact, and got away with it. I lost Vesa because of his lies and evil manipulations, and because I had no proof that he had done anything at the time, he got away with it and I took the blame and the set-back for the loss.

The family has apparently bought his latest spin and dismissed my defense report as nothing but more fiction. He taught everyone to look down at me as a stupid little brother, with lies, and they have been prejudiced towards me in that way. Most of them haven't even read my defense report".

There has been no justice for me. In spite of all of my efforts, my disposition continues to falter as money and resources continue to dwindle within this loveless purgatory.

Journal Notes:

Does anyone know what it is like to be a victim of lies, aside from another victim of lies?

My step-brother gas-lighted me into a state of confusion and blamed it all on my stupidity, and got away with it, with the full support of his senior name-sake", the step-father, who believed every lie he told about me. His violations of my rights and his denials after the fact, which were accepted by the step-father, caused the step-father to mistrust my word and look at me like a lying bastard.

Whenever I reported a violation by my step-brother, and he denied it, the step-father was led to believe that I was lying and trying to get his junior name-sake" in trouble.

This caused some confusion for me, and whenever I was confused about anything, it slowed me down, and my step-brother blamed it on my stupidity. Ergo, not only did he violate my rights and get away with it, he caused so much confusion for me that it slowed me down and made me look stupid".

Furthermore, he went on to eventually replace the original verbal command he gave me to shut up with the evil eye to remind me of a threat he put upon my life, to keep me from talking about him. Every time he used the evil eye on me, it had the same effect as telling me to shut up" without having to use the words and let everyone in on it.

When he gave me the evil eye, nobody knew about it, and in effect, every time he used it, it caused me to be struck dumb with fear and suspended within a state of confusion. He made me look really stupid" for not having anything to say.

I suspect he enjoyed using the evil eye on me and exploited it in front of his friends, while forcing me to follow his orders at the same time, because it made him look like he was my master and made me look like the stupid little brother he had turned into an obedient robot-slave.

It might have been just another day within the Aton 5 sub-parallel for Zek Stone if he hadn't run out of medicine and money at the same time. He sat in his seedy junk-pad, surrounded by boxes of junk, staring at the computer flat-screen on the coffee-table before him, wondering what to do about it.

He did all he could to manage the problem. He scraped every bit of resin and oil from the pipe he used and smoked it all away, and in the end, he was left sitting in front of the computer flat-screen in the junk-pad with an empty pipe, nothing to put into it, and no money to get anymore.

He sat back and worried, as he wondered what to do about it. He knew that he couldn't go for very long without it and worried that he might lose it anytime.

He cursed his evil step-brother for making it all so difficult and for making some things impossible within the Aton 5 parallel. Zek knew now that his step-brother was a regular son of Satan and could never be trusted by him again.

He had to continue to warn anyone within the family and the company about the step-brother, whenever he had the chance, because the step-brother had been working against him in secret while feigning innocence in the light of day and fooling everyone with his lies about Stone.

The step-brother had gas-lighted Stone, in his youth, for the first 20 years, and eventually destroyed him with that same power.

Stone's step-brother, Jarges, was a regular son of Satan who had gas-lighted Stone in his youth, violated his rights and denied it after the fact, and with the help of his senior name-sake, Jarges Tenrut Senior, the step-father, the step-brother had actually gotten away with it all.

Stone was born 18 months after the step-brother, much too close for comfort. They were sibling-rivals, and the older step-brother was a spoiled brat who hated Stone and constantly blamed him for every problem he had.

Unfortunately for young Stone, the step-father, the senior name-sake, believed every lie his junior name-sake told about Stone, and the step-father hated young Stone for it. The step-brother's lies made Stone out to be a trouble-making little bastard whenever they left the two of them alone.

The step-brother lied about him and made him look bad and the step-father believed it, and hated Stone for it. For young Stone at the time, it was just like a level of Hell and the step-brother was a sadistic little son of Satan.

In the early 1970s, the step-brother gained even more power over Stone, when he threatened to kill Stone if he talked about him to anyone, and kept giving Stone the evil eye to remind him of the threat. As a result, the step-brother controlled Stone like a toy-robot, by constantly giving him the evil eye and reminding him of the threat.

Whenever the step-brother gave him the evil eye Stone was struck dumb by the threat and didn't know what to say. The step-brother used the evil eye on Stone in every social situation they were in together and made Stone look too stupid to speak for himself.

In the summer of 1975, the step-brother did something unforgivable when he lied to their mother to get Stone sent away on a fool's errand, to get Stone away from the girl he was seeing, and Stone lost the girl because of it. Stone suspected the step-brother had done something but couldn't prove anything. Apparently, even the mother didn't know the step-brother lied and Stone didn't find out he lied to her until almost 20 years later.

Stone's heart was somewhat broken by the loss of the girl, but the madman inside got him over it somehow. The problem was, he was mad at himself and didn't know quite what to do about it. He was mad at himself for letting his mother send him away on the fool's errand of 75, and he hated himself for it. He hated himself for going away and losing Vesa.

To make matters even worse, something that happened in the summer of 1978, just 3 years after 75, caused Stone to lose all his friends and become alienated from human society.

On one fatal day in the summer of 1978, the step-brother made him look like one of the stupidest little brothers in the world and turned him into a bad joke to be laughed at and disrespected by all.

On that one fatal day, the step-brother tried to get Stone interested in going naked with him and his friends, but Stone was not interested, mainly because he didn't trust his step-brother that way, but also because he had other things he wanted to do. Stone failed to explain to them exactly why he wasn't interested because the step-brother gave him the evil eye and he was struck dumb and didn't know what to say.

As a result of the negative reaction to the notion of going naked with his step-brother and his friends on that day, and the
