    Introduction

There are thousands of jobs in the Middle East region due to the rapid development there and some of these jobs are open to foreigners. Foreigners in the Middle East outnumber the indigenous peoples of these countries. Unfortunately, there are fraudulent employment agents. There are also nationalization efforts by various governments.

This book explains the jobs available for non-indigenous people in each Middle Eastern country as of February 2024. With this, the applicant will know areas to focus on when seeking employment or starting a personal business in this region.

This book also explains the regulations for companies to hire foreign employees. Though, it may be possible to do business in the Middle East with very little knowledge of English or Arabic. But a person that is both non-English and non-Arabic speaker needs an employee who either has English or Arabic command and can communicate in the business owner language.

How To Secure Your Dream Job In The Middle East

There are many frauds concerning job in the middle east.  The rule of the thumb is to check if

the recruiting agent itself is located in the country it claimed to be providing job.

If the establishment in question uses recruitment agent.

If the recruitment agent is on the list of government registered agency. For the UAE, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) maintains a database of licensed recruitment agencies on its website, which you can access for free

So many acclaimed agents do not have work but prey on unsuspecting applicants.  Nay agency that demands upfront payment is probably 99% fraudulent.

Every viable company will advertise vacancies on their own.  A major source of advert is the linkedin.com and indeed.com (ae.indeed.com, om.indeed.com, qa.indeed.com). most companies also advertised vacancies on the company’s website.  This is the most authentic source of jobs.

Edarabia is a major source for getting teaching jobs in the middle east and north Africa.  But this is not sufficient on its own as major adverts are placed in the indeed.com sites for each country.

    The Middle East Experience Requirements

Middle East experience is a necessity to get a job as an experience worker especially in teaching and healthcare services.  The exception to this is for qualifications that involved PhD and for highly qualified professional.

    2.1. Teaching jobs

Certification requirements- major requirement is the teaching certification or a degree in teaching. Also acceptable is a bachelor degree plus postgraduate certificate or diploma in education.

For English teacher, a native English speaker is preferred.

    Attested degree is a requirement.

Equalization degree requirements. This is the equivalency of degree classification by the ministry of education.  It is a necessary requirement for teaching at the higher institutions in the UAE. It involves a collaboration between your country embassy, your country
