INTRODUCTION

'AT YOUR FEET', is a collection of 31 devotional poems that will guide and uplift you as you read, study, and meditate through the Book of Luke.

I started writing these poems after going through the Book of Luke in the first few weeks of 2024.

I was really blessed by the Gospel of Luke, but I still felt I needed something deeper than what I had received already.

After reading through to the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus, and His last encouraging Words to His Disciples and the Church, I found my soul longing for more - something deeper from all I had studied already.

As I reflected on the Word, I first wrote a poem on Jesus’ Words in Luke 21:15 (NIV) -"For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict."

I have reproduced a few verses of that poem below:

No adversary can match your might

When armed with My Wisdom, shining bright

They will try to bring you down

But your words will be like a golden crown

With every argument, they'll try to refute

But your words, they will not be able to dispute

For I have given you the gift of eloquence

To silence them with your intelligence

My Words will be your shield and sword

Against the lies and the deceit they hoard

They'll try to twist, they'll try to deceive

But your words will make them believe

After I read through the seven verses of this poem, I found it very encouraging to my heart.

Hence, I went back to the first chapter of Luke and tried to write poems on some key verses I had marked, and then read them out to myself again and again.

There was such a deepening connection with God’s Word as I read these poems to myself.

That was how I went on and on to write more poems that I could just read to myself and reflect on.

But as I continued to find such depth of connection to God’s Spirit through them, I felt it was good to make a daily devotional of poems that I could also share with the Christian community.

Who knows, this might bring hope to someone else, even beyond what I could personally experience. That is the main reason for this book.

I am, therefore, inviting you into this world of faith, inspiration, and self-reflection with AT YOUR FEET.

So, pause, take a deep breath, and soak yourself completely in this poetic beauty of the Gospel of St. Luke.

Deepen your connection with God through these words and rediscover your purpose in life through the power of these Scriptural poems.

It’s time to take a seat at the Feet of Jesus, and offer Him the tears of your struggles and the perfume of your worship from the very depths of your being.
