Trashy the Dog - M.T. Lott
ONE
illus_1.jpgTrashy was born on a farm, but he did not have a name. He was just a puppy – a labrador retriever puppy. He had six brothers and sisters.
He spent his days playing, biting things, rolling in the dirt, and looking cute.
One day, when he was playing, a family of humans came to the farm. They looked at all of the puppies. They laughed and smiled.
Trashy did not know why, but he wanted to please them. And so did all of his brothers and sisters. They acted crazy, chased their tails, and fell over. Everyone laughed.

Trashy sensed a sadness in his mom. Dogs are good at sensing feelings.

And,
