You’ve heard it said that it’s not about what you know, but who you know
. My personal experiences have led me to believe that it is not just who you know, but who knowsyou. When it’s all said and done, you knowing
people only gets you so far. What gets you exponentially further is other people knowing, trusting, remembering, and looking to you. Looking to you as an expert in your field, a reputable brand, a referral partner, a connector, and ultimately as a professional resource. One of the methods you should use to open the door for opportunities to become known
and for the cultivation of professional relationships is networking.
One of the problems with networking is that many people do not understand what it is to begin with. And the challenge many people have with networking is they are not quite sure how to do it consistently, effectively, strategically, and professionally. I am confident that this book will act as a guide and bring about the concepts and clarity on how to approach networking properly and practically.
My perspective and position on this topic has grown by hosting and attending dozens of networking events, 10,000+ logged sales calls, and hundreds of 1-to-1 meetings.
After living in 4 states by the age of 23, I moved to Orlando Florida in January of 2020 with the intention of creating stability, establishing roots, and cultivating community.
