    INTRODUCTION

One the greatest impulse inside of us is to get revenge on the person or people who we feel have wronged us or indeed have caused us pain and suffering. Revenge is described as the action of inflicting hurt or harm on someone for an injury or wrong suffered at their hands. It is also described as to inflict hurt and harm on someone for an injury or wrong they did to SOMEONE ELSE! It can also be an act that a person perceives to be harmful to them, by another. Jealousy can be an act that a person perceives as wrong done unto them.

This spirit or act of REVENGE is not a new spirit; it has been around for an estimation of 6,000 years. It is recorded in the Bible that Cain killed his brother Abel over the jealousy that God accepted his brother’s sacrifice and rejected his sacrifice. God out of love comes to warn Cain concerning this spirit of jealousy! Remember a warning comes before destruction!

(Genesis 4:5). But unto Cain and his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6). And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? And why is thy countenance fallen?

7). If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, SIN LIETH AT THE DOOR. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shall rule over him.

Verse 7 in the Hebrew Interlinear Bible gives a greater insight. (Note the following verse is how the original Hebrew text reads. The wording is different) 7). Not if you are doing good to lift up of and if not, you are doing good to the portal sin offering reclining and to you impulse of him and you are ruling in him.

God tells Cain your jealousy over the fact I honored his gift and not yours is opening up a portal in your mind which is a path for the spirit of revenge to enter in and cause you to fall (Reclining) but you must close the portal. Unforgiveness and jealousy opens portals into our heart which gives the kingdom of darkness direct access into your mind to influence you to make an unwise choice. This choice will always go against the will of our Father and causes us great pain and destruction. Cain just like so many of us ignores the warning and the next verse says that while they were in a field that spirit of jealousy and revenge lived in his heart because God favored his brother’s gift over his causing him to kill his brother.

I really need to analyze this. Cain probably said to himself if it wasn’t for Abel then God would have accepted my sacrifice thus this caused him to feel that his brother had wronged him causing the spirit of revenge to enter into his mind. I am sure someone reading these words can relate. As he watched Abel, he probably thought to himself look at him, he thinks he is better than me because God accepted his gift and rejected mine. The truth is I am sure Abel thought none of those things but a spirit of jealousy will flood your mind with all those
