Chapter 1

On that fateful morning, Mike was set to start his daily activities as he was awakened by the blistering sound of the alarm clock in his bedroom, at 4 am of course. As a daily ritual, he turned on the radio and it responded, it is 3hours universal time, this is Voice of America, Washington DC signing on......... Yes, he had to listen to the Voice of America (VOA) first thing in the morning.

Mike is not a strict religious fellow, but he does pray some of the morning. This fateful day happened to be one of those days he prayed after listening to the VOA.

By 7.00 am, Mike was ready to leave for work. He works as a supervisor in a confectionery. On his way to the factory, he remembered the dream he had in the night about being involved in a motor accident. Well that's just a dream he thought. But he had this feeling that the dream was so real. He touched his lap, a part of his body that was affected in the dream and for the first time since getting awake, he became conscious of mild pains in his right lap.

His heart started beating faster, "could this be true?, he queried himself. As a Catholic, he quickly made the sign of the cross and reduced his car speed from 80-60Km/hr.
