Passing my newborn son Ashly, bundled up in a blanket, to my sister, her face lit up.
‘He’s so gorgeous!’ Kayleigh squealed.
‘It’ll be you next,’ I said.
When we were kids, Kayleigh, two years my junior, had been more interested in climbing trees than playing dolls with me.
But when I’d had my first child Kasey in July 2007, she’d doted on her.
And now, in December 2012, as she cradled Ashly, I could tell she was feeling broody for her own babies.
Sadly, it wasn’t going to be easy for my little sis.
