    INTRODUCTION

THE ALTAR OF GOD AND MAN

    ––––––––

The purpose of this introduction is to establish the foundation for the revelation presented in this eBook.

Have you ever considered that we are altars? Or have you ever read in the Bible that the cross was an altar and Jesus was a living sacrifice? The Bible states that our bodies are the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We are living, breathing tabernacles. We carry the presence of God inside of us. But have you ever considered that our soul is a sacrifice on our altar?

Genesis 2:7 states that God breathed breath into man and he became a living soul. Consider the fact that Jesus, the living soul, was a living sacrifice. I believe that makes it safe to surmise that all of Jesus’ motives, emotions, conscious and unconscious thinking, actions, and feelings were burning as incense on the altar, rendering sacrifices unto the Lord.

Opening this thought up further, Ephesians 1:7-‬10 in the MSG Bible states, "Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth."‬‬

To reiterate, the cross was an altar, as seen in the scripture above. When we receive the Holy Spirit, then we too become a living tabernacle just like Jesus. We house His presence on the inside of us, and we become an altar and a sacrifice all at the same time. Isn’t that amazing!

    Leviticus 17:11 affirms this.

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar
