Deep Dimension

A Part of You Knows Everything
Intuitive realization is the king of sciences, the royal secret....
It is the first perception of truth — the imperishable enlightenment.
— The Bhagavad Gita IX:02, The Song of God
Imagine that one day in your life you experienced something extraordinary. Maybe you caught a glimpse of something unexplainable — something that didn’t fit with what you have been taught about reality. Maybe you had an intuitive revelation, or a dream or vision. You could even have noticed an impossible coincidence or an undeniable sign from the universe. Or maybe, just for a moment, the illusion of reality lifted just enough for you to recognize something from the magnificent, hidden dimension underlying our world. Maybe it happened again, maybe it didn’t.
Imagine that this experience became part of the very fabric of your being — that even though you couldn’t explain it, you also couldn’t convince yourself that it wasn’t real. Maybe it continues to silently call to you, even though the world tells you that it could never have happened. Maybe you have searched for an explanation in religion, science, philosophy, or psychology, discovering clues and pieces of the puzzle along the way. If you were fortunate, you were able to find others who also know what you now know, becoming part of a silent revolution of witnesses to a deeper level of existence — those who know there is something more going on in this world.
Imagine that you are one of the many seekers and free-spirited adventurers playing your part in the greatest investigation of all time: the quest to understand what we are all doing here in this world. What is the purpose of our lives? What are we meant to do or learn here? How can we discover the truth about our human nature and our ultimate reality? Some of the greatest minds in history have participated in this ongoing investigation — scientists, philosophers, theologians, mystics, mathematicians — stretching back as far as we know, to the dawn of our civilization more than six thousand years ago. Now, it’s our turn.
For the first time in history, you and I have access to revolutionary scientific information that reveals an entirely new way of understanding the world. During a great paradigm shift over the last century, quantum mechanics has shown us that our reality can no longer be seen as a mechanistic cause-and-effect system; classical physics explains only the surface of reality. Today, science is lifting the veil of empirical reality to reveal a deeper, exponentially more powerful inner quantum reality that creates the world we call home. Beneath the surface of all the objects we touch and feel is another reality — one that is alive with unseen interconnectedness, brimming with energy and phenomena that seem like nothing less than magic.
If you look closely, you can see the magic everywhere. Since the day you were born, an invisible, intuition-accessible code has been infiltrating your reality. What if this code is embedded deep within the quantum dimension to be read by an expanded version of your mind — with a purpose to inform and guide your life? What if this code contains all the answers you seek but exists on a level that is out of reach for your thinking mind? What if your intuitive mind is the ultimate quantum computer — able to process an entirely different kind of information — if only you knew how to turn it on and use it.
Intuition Is a Quantum Phenomenon
Many have said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Could your consciousness hold the world’s greatest technology, designed to do impossible things? Could everyday people, like you and me, be able to participate in a magic that is meant to be discovered not only by scientific formulas and technological instruments but also by personal experience — through our most extraordinary information-processing system, our power of intuitive insight?
Insight — the remarkable power of the mind to instantaneously receive information from the quantum realms — is poised to become humanity’s most advanced form of knowledge acquisition. With scientific discovery we learn from the outside world; with intuitive discovery we learn from the world inside us — not just in terms of age-old ideas like our inner wisdom or inner guidance but also via the real, quantifiable information processing of quantum relationships. The task of the future is to build on centuries-old traditions of external education with the emerging possibilities of internal education.
Through the faculty of insight, you have direct access to the code of the universe itself — the program that is running silently in the background of what we call reality. You can read the code of the past or the future, of your own life or other people. You can access knowledge that exists outside this particular moment in time and space and beyond the limitations of the linear thinking mind. Your faculty of insight is a built-in technology that gives you intrinsic access to an inner matrix of information and energy, the very building blocks of this world. Our scientific experiments show us how quantum mechanics work, from the outside looking in; but it is through intuitive insight that we personally experience it — from the inside looking out.
The only technology you need to interact with the quantum world is your intuitive mind. By reimagining intuition as the means to navigate a deeper reality, we can understand it as a kind of quantum thinking that naturally extends beyond the limits of the intellectual mind. Fundamentally, every human being has intrinsic access to all information in all places and times. This power of insight gives you — and every other human being — the potential to learn from the inside, from the microcosmic reality that is constantly informing your life. Your consciousness itself is the ultimate information system — wired, through inner access only, to a connection beyond the limits of physical reality.
The Lost Code of the Cosmos
Every day, every moment, the universe is broadcasting billions of signals — subtle forms of information and energy that interpenetrate your whole world, even though they are virtually undetectable in material reality. Some of these signals are for the world at large, and some of these signals are just for you. With modern technology — like cellphones, remote controls, radio, television, and even the internet — you can pick up on all kinds of imperceptible information; but there is a whole universe of signals out there that don’t require a material technological interface. These codes of information are meant to directly interface with your conscious mind.
A part of your mind has been receiving these universal signals for your entire life. They have been providing you with information about the world around you — invaluable data that speaks to your intuition, your instinct, and other feelings, while your thinking mind remains unaware. On occasion, these signals break through into your consciousness in moments of insight, epiphany, or sudden awareness — when your inner receiver tunes in to unexpected bits of important information. The processing of this secret code can feel like an aha moment or a revelation; it can give you a gut feeling or a sense of inner knowingness. These experiences are manifestations of a universal intelligence transmission system that your mind processes as intuitive sensations, thoughts, or feelings.
Every day of your life, the cosmic information system is guiding you from the inside out. With the rational mind, you process information linearly, based on codes from the macrocosmic world outside you; conversely, the insightful mind, like a quantum computer, interfaces with the microcosmic inner dimension and holds the magnificent power to process information simultaneously — to know everything all at once. For example, to solve a problem, the thinking mind must go through the formula — for example, figuring out 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 to get to the answer of 10; but, with the quantum intuitive mind, you can get from the question to the answer in an instant of intuitive knowing, without thinking at all. Your intuitive mind is connected to a worldwide web of information that you can download and apprehend in an instant.
We used to call people who could read the secret universal code or tune into a wider signal bandwidth psychic. But, today, we are realizing that everyone is psychic. In America, about 75 percent — three out of four people — believe in the reality of supernatural phenomena. Furthermore, 67 percent of Americans say that they have personally experienced a supernatural phenomenon. More people believe in psychic abilities than don’t; and more people have experienced them than haven’t. Whether these people are encountering their extrasensory perception, telepathy, precognition, or good old-fashioned intuition, impossible things are becoming a way of life. With each decade that passes, we are waking up new inner potential as the magnitude of our extraordinary nature comes into focus.
Are we, then, gods with amnesia? How did we forget about — or have to rediscover — the illuminating magic of the quantum dimension? Legends, myths, and sacred stories throughout history remind us of the power it holds; the supernatural is integral in ancient wisdom, with prophecies, miracles, and revelations commonly accepted beyond question. Our ancestors had no idea about quantum mechanics; to them, our metaphysical nature was a natural part of life. Only in recent times did we begin to use the word psychic to pejoratively label the observable but unexplainable manifestations of life in a quantum universe — a technique to diminish what our rational minds are unable comprehend.
Quantum physics turns out to be the magic behind three thousand years of mystery and misunderstanding. The laws of the subatomic universe defy the logic and reason that have been the foundation of our understanding of reality and instead function in a way that feels supernatural. At the quantum level, entities can communicate despite vast distances, appear out of nowhere, defy all sense of time, and even be in two places at once. When we apply these laws of physics to the mind, we can see how those unexplainable experiences were explainable all along — we just didn’t have the knowledge to know it at the time. But now we do. We don’t have to live in the dark anymore; we all have the potential to expand our bandwidths and open back up to the great, cosmic information broadcast.
There is no such thing as a psychic person or psychic phenomenon; all people are psychic, and we live in a psychic universe — or as Ervin László, Nobel Prize nominee and physicist, described it, a consciousness-infused universe. To be psychic is an intrinsic quality of all consciousness. It describes our ability to connect with information beyond our position in time and space, something that appears to be impossible from the materialistic worldview. How can separated objects possibly interact? We now know that something is connecting them — an unseen force that unites all things. Like the water that connects all beings in the ocean, every object in our material world is bound together in an invisible field of information. In fact, we are part of that information; not only are we in it, but we are made of it.
All along, we have been looking for the truth in all the wrong places — in physical form and in the laws of the material world; but now, the new science reveals that everything — your body, matter, energy, atoms, protons, electrons, quanta — everything that you know in the world is actually made of consciousness-infused information. Everything you think, do, or interact with is an exchange of information. The desk in your office is made of information; an itch on your arm is information; a creative idea is information; a memory is information; your dreams are information; your thoughts and emotions are information; the energy in the ethers around you as you go about your day is full of information. On a microcosmic, intuitive level, you are processing information 24/7.
Information codes are the building blocks
of the universe.
In the words of visionary physicist John Archibald Wheeler, The most fundamental feature of the universe is information — other physical quantities are more like incidentals. Information is present throughout space and time, and it is present at the same time everywhere.
Everything is information. Cosmic information is building, connecting, and guiding all the world. Wheeler notoriously coined the phrase It from bit
to explain how tangible physical reality (it) is ultimately made of information (or bits). Everything you see, touch, sense, think, or feel is a part of an extraordinary code of intelligence that programs all creation.
László’s work takes this idea one step further, making a case for intuition as an essential part of our information-based universe: The world ‘runs’ on information, but on what it runs is not the garden variety of information we think of when we read a newspaper or talk to a neighbor. The world runs on ‘in-formation.’ It runs on information that is correctly spelled with a hyphen. The concept of in-formation comes from quantum physicist David Bohm. In-formation is an active impulse that acts on, ‘in-forms’ things and events.
Information on the quantum level arrives from the inside, implicitly — not from any observed, external event but from a cosmic impetus.
Human beings process information in two primary ways from our relative position in the universe: our thinking mind processes information from outside us (the macrocosm), while our intuitive mind processes information from inside us (the microcosm). You process garden-variety information while you go about material reality, responding to stimuli from the cause-and-effect world. But the other kind of information — in-formation, derived from the inner world through the process of insight — has one uniquely identifiable trait: it has no observable information source in this world, not even in your own mind. You don’t think it up. It is of cosmic impetus; it arrives seemingly from nowhere.
In-formation — or insight — arrives instantaneously, in a flash, often out of the blue. Like the stroke of genius that answers the problem you were struggling to solve or the big idea that pops into your head, it is a sudden awareness, an instant knowing, or a gut feeling that guides you, even when you have no idea how or why. In-formation is a code of invisible truth that seems to arrive from nowhere because it arrives from beyond our reality.
Luminous Mind
The realization that we live in a world of information (a.k.a. in-formation) is a first step into the mystery of the deep dimension — the key to understanding how it is possible for a part of you to know everything. If cosmic intelligence is everywhere, how can we get more of it? Where can we find this treasure trove of inside knowledge? Where is it stored? Though we will explore this question extensively in chapter 4, the answer is tied to one important property of our universe: light.
From the dawn of history, light has had a distinguished role in our world, signifying the presence of the divine or most revered truth. The archetype of a guiding light is practically a universal truth. The Egyptians worshipped the sun as the light of life. In Christianity, light is associated with wisdom, holiness, and God’s presence — Jesus called himself the light of the world
(John 8:12). Hindus celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, each year to honor the triumph of light in the world. Buddhism teaches the pure state of the luminous mind,
where the perception of light endows the mind with luminescence. The twelfth-century mystic Saint Hildegard von Bingen bestowed light with the highest honor of all: "God was and is light and radiance and life. And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and so were the light and the radiant angels created." On some level, we have always known that light is more than a biological necessity — it is the key to life itself.
In science, too, light is at the center of the magic. The holographic principle suggests that fundamental cosmic information is stored in patterns of light that can be read like a code, revealing the underlying workings of the universe. According to Deepak Chopra, "The photons that make up light have no mass, but they do carry energy and information" and are well known to transmit information in the form of digital signals. Technology has already harnessed the power of photons — or quanta — to carry information through innovations like fiber-optic cables, solar cells, medical imaging, and computer technology. Quanta are the smallest units of energy in the universe, and they underlie the behavior of atoms and subatomic particles — hence the term quantum physics.
When viewing the quantum dimension through the lens of information and consciousness, quantum reality is our inner reality. To go within means to explore the quantum intelligence that informs our existence through the information and energy transmitted by our inner luminescence. Light is at work in your mind and body — all the way down to the deepest levels of your consciousness and into the fundamental cells, atoms, and particles that compose your being. Underneath the illusion of solid matter, we are all living bodies of light; we perpetually radiate, communicate with, and are informed by the glowing dance of an electric world.
experiment: the inner light show
When you look at your physical body, it’s hard to imagine it being built of light. To the naked eye, it all seems dense, heavy, solid, tangible. But when you shut your eyes and look within, things begin to change. Closing your eyes is the one act that allows you to see part of your body from the inside. If your body was made of matter, you might expect to see nothing but darkness when you shut the light out from the external world; instead, what you see is light.
Let’s try it now: wherever you are, take a moment to close your eyes and observe what happens.
When you close your eyes, you don’t see actual darkness — you see an inner light show with patterns of energy flowing across the screen of your inner vision, morphing colors and shapes, often even geometric and kaleidoscopic patterns. Visually impaired people also report this kind of psychedelic light show, which is generated by phosphenes — the dynamic visual perceptions of light that have no reference to the external environment. When no light from the outside world is present, your inner world is still alive with luminous energy.
How fitting that we use light-themed words, such as enlightenment and illumination, to describe the experience of heightened awareness or understanding. Being in the light is, both literally and figuratively, being in a place of clarity and vision — a state of being where truth is revealed. Light is the carrier of cosmic intelligence and the harbinger of wisdom. As you walk your life path, the light of your consciousness receives, saves, and shares the illuminating information codes that are perpetually being broadcasted by the universe. Through these codes of light, life itself informs and guides you. You are wired to intuitively pick up its signals with the purpose of moving you deeper into truth and reconnecting you to your wholeness of being.
The illumination code is cosmic information embedded into your inner light and programmed to guide the expansion of your consciousness.
Through codes of illumination, life guides you from the inside. Every living thing has access to these inner codes of wisdom; the intrinsic knowledge of life manifests in many ways — from human intuition to the instinct of migrating birds or the ability of lost pets to know when their owners are about to arrive home. You and I — and all the life on this planet — are wired into the vast information-light-energy-filled expanse of the deep dimension, giving us the ability to know the unknowable, touch the untouchable, or witness the impossible becoming possible. But these extraordinary parts of life do not have to be isolated experiences or beyond our control. With attention and intention, you can more consciously participate in this universal information exchange. As you venture onward, into your deeper dimension, your inner light language can begin to illuminate hidden truths and invite you further into the boundless field of inner
