    About the Author:

    Dedication

I dedicate this book to all of the spiritual bodhisattvas of this world, who have seen beyond the veil but have chosen to stay here to share their vision to help others to move on.

    Introduction

Knowing others means you are wise but knowing yourself means you are enlightened

    The Bulletproof Monk, a movie

Many people believe that human beings are the result of their genetics, their background, and their environment. All of this has some bearing on who you are, what you believe and how you act. But a very big influence is also your past lives, your Higher Self and your true purpose in this life.

You are a combination of your Higher Self and your Body Personality, a true symbiosis of your energy transcendent self and your body.

First and foremost you are an energy Being. You are pure energy in a body.

And you are here to accomplish something.

This book is to remind you of the basic truths that govern your life. If you wake up to your energy spiritual self then you will be capable of knowing who you truly are, why you are here and what you came here to do. You will be an integrated human being with a beautiful and wondrous purpose in your life. And you will be able to find your joy and your happiness, life force and your zest, your will to be and your will to accomplish. You will find your true potential and be able to actualize it.

    Chapter one

    Finding Your Way

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.

    Joseph Campbell

I have a friend who has been married for twenty-eight years. She married young and now her daughter is grown up and not living with her. Everyone who knows her is aware that she is miserable and unhappy with her marriage. It seems that she has been unhappy with her marriage since I have known her.

So many people I know live in pain. Some of the people I know do not even realize that they are living in a state of loss or pain. They think that is normal since they have never known anything else. Their consciousness is that of only what they are and know, and that is governed by their lack of permission to change themselves.

Often we do not admit the truth to ourselves. We live a lie because it is convenient or easier or we are just plain afraid to change. Change is scary for most people because when you change you really do not know where you are going. You only know what you are leaving. The unknown seems to frighten us.

We humans like to believe that we are adventurers and take risks easily but truth to tell we are quite timid frightened people when it comes to letting go of the old and embracing the new.

And so often people stay in jobs they know bore them to death or hold them in a lower financial status. They hold on to relationships til it becomes absolutely unbearable to remain in them. They fill their homes with meaningless baubles and objects in order to feel they are giving to themselves and then are afraid to clean house and let it all go. We are creatures of habit and hold onto what we know rather than changing easily into where we want to go.

This is why many people do not know what their true path is in life, how to empower themselves or simply what fills their time here with joy and celebration.

But we must ask ourselves why we do not give ourselves permission to simply enjoy the living of our lives. If you foolishly believe that we are adventurous and change quickly simply watch how we hold onto the concept of needing oil rather than putting our attention onto the challenge of creating new forms of energy.

And so most everyone eventually asks the traditional questions of living:

    Who am I?

    Where do I come from?

    Why am I here?

Why did I choose these parents, this country, this body?

    Why do I suffer?

There is one answer that is the same for everyone and there are many answers that are different for each person. Truth be told, your answer is known to you and though others may see and know it, the experience of answering it yourself is part of the answer too.

No one is lost on the path of life. You just do not realize that your answers are right there within you. This has been told to you for centuries by every spiritual path on this planet. But hearing it and knowing it are two different animals. People read many self-help and spiritual books telling them how to find their way in life but rarely do they know how to put this precious information into action. This is a book of the simple basic truths you and your ancestors have heard since the very beginning of time. Chapter two

    The first basic truth

That which you search for is already within you and if you do not find it within you, you will never find it without (outside) of you.

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside dreams; who looks inside awakes.

    Carl Jung

    Finding Yourself

Every spiritual tradition on this planet will tell you that what you seek is really within you. Some traditions will tell you it takes you years or many lives to connect with that which is within. Other paths will inform you that if you are willing to suffer and learn that which you seek can be found.

You are a spiritual being in a physical body. Your spirit is what motivates your body to take action. You are alive because you literally have spirit. Your spirit, or what we like to call your Higher Self, is the life giving part of you. It is your spirit that can heal you. It is your spirit that knows what is right and what works for the best in your life. It is your spirit that is the true you.

If you learn to walk as one with your spirit you become integrated with your higher nature. You become as a human god upon the earth. You become as one with the oneness. You become more than you are as a simple human and you become all that you are as being in touch with the divine on a constant level. You come to know life as a fullness that fills your body, your mind and your actions. You discover the true key to love and life and being alive in the deepest manner. You become the living spirit. This is what all humans are meant to be. It is living up to your true potential. And it is connecting with all that is and leads you to a higher plane of awareness and the path to human evolution.

Living as spirit is your birthright and it is your fullest potential. It is what some spiritual traditions call enlightenment. However do not be fooled by the shallow concept of enlightenment. There is not one simple enlightenment but many levels of spiritual unfolding that eventually lead you to a higher and deeper level of awareness. The steps to heaven are many as the spirit keeps evolving. The human condition is one of the lowest levels until you release fear and emotions and turn to the light and embrace your Higher Self and its knowledge of the oneness. Then you live as spirit, which is what you were always meant to do. Walking this path can be a gradual learning curve although sometimes you will evolve faster as you have glimpses or revelations of your true self. Walking as spirit is walking with your divine self within you and being consciously aware. Walking as spirit is also called being consciously aware and awake.

You are born as a spiritual Being who takes a body. You are no more spiritual now than you were when you were born. Your spiritual Being, your Higher Self, chose everything in this life as obstacles and learning experiences to shift you and guide you to a higher
