    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to God the father who chose me, to the Holy Spirit the inspiration behind this book and to Jesus the savior and purifier of my soul.

    FOREWORD

Heaven [the sky] and earth will perish and pass away but my words will not perish or pass away [mark 13:31].

There is no other book in the world like the bible, the bible is a book of instructions [law] according to Joshua 1:8 that contains promises, principles and prophecies. It is the most accurate platform of the word of God wherein every believer must walk in and through to become thoroughly furnished unto good works and come to perfection. It is not just a book to be read but to be lived, it guides a believer on how to navigate through this world of godlessness and come out victorious. The bible is God showing us his ways and acts, it reveals the strengths and weaknesses of Holy men, exposes the tricks and strategies of the enemy, opens us up to the mind of God concerning us and has no private interpretation. Therefore, it should not be read with nonchalance or complacency but prayerfully and zealously.

The bible is sealed and only the Holy Spirit can unlock the seals and give you access to the knowledge of God. Opening and just reading will make you bored, confused, good at argument on the standard of God and at best a good theologian but prayerfully with a heart to learn and of thanksgiving unlocking the seals, gives you revelation wherein you have the understanding of who God is, you have access to knowing him and his wisdom, you have access to his voice, you heighten your discernment and sharpens your spiritual sensitivity.

It is God’s utmost desire that all men be saved, come to the knowledge of the truth and know that Jesus who is the truth is the only mediator between man and God. The knowledge of the truth will increase us in peace and grace, open our minds and build us to become who we were born to be [to give God pleasure], give us a hope through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead to an inheritance that is not corrupted neither defiled but reserved in God’s dwelling place for you and I.

The aim of Satan who is our number enemy is to blind our minds, make us disbelieve God and dull of spiritual understanding because our knowledge is a defeat to the kingdom of darkness. Jesus is the answer for the world today, above him there is no other, Jesus is the way. Intimacy with Jesus is the cure for loneliness, frustration, hunger, exhaustion and depression. He is the truth, way and life, everything a man needs in this life revolves around this irrespective of social class.

The book ‘BIBLE MADE EASY; the Living gospel’ talks about how a believer’s lifestyle revolves around the salvation of his soul, his everyday life including eating and thoughts pattern which either brings him closer to the final salvation of the saints or damn his soul in everlasting torment. This book is broken down to a thousand pieces to ease the understanding of the reader, it opens the young believer to his authority, how to walk in the reality and bring others to the light of Jesus. This book is a verse by verse commentary of the gospel according to Evangelist Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the new testament of the Holy Bible. As you study, it will be better you get a pen and note because the spirit of God will show you great and mighty things you did not know and make his word fresher in your spirit. Ensure you meditate on every point so as to give the Holy Spirit access to speak to you. It is my prayer for you that as God guilds you into his ways and purpose, you will come into his wisdom and spiritual understanding to live a life pleasing to him alone and like it was said of Enoch it will be said of you that you pleased God, in Jesus name, Amen.

    BOOK 1

    THE BOOK OF MATTHEW

    CHAPTER ONE

GENEALOGY OF CHRIST, HIS BIRTH, ANGELIC VISITATION AND HIS DEEDS:

The account of Matthew, a disciple and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, reveals the fulfillment of prophecy about Christ, the messiah and consolation of Israel. He showed us the humanity of Christ. From Abraham to the birth of Jesus, we have 42 generations [4,200 years]. Judah is the fourth son of Israel but according to prophecy, it is the kingly tribe. We see that in Genesis chapter 49 particularly at verse 10, Judah according to his father is compared to a Lion and this is not for raging and ranging but for enjoying the satisfaction that comes with power and success, without creating anger in others and this made Judah a royal tribe.

Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, is from the tribe of Judah. This reveals clearly the power of prophecy, that despite the wars, disobedience of the kings of Israel, idolatry, before and after exile to Babylon, the prophecy that Judah would hold the scepter of kingship till the coming of the messiah did not die. It waited until a virgin has positioned herself to be the conduit of the fulfillment by virtue of Joseph who is of the kingly tribe. This tells us that people may die, destructions and wars can happen but no matter what, prophecies do not die, whether good or bad, people activate them in their lives by actions, way of life, mindset and other ways like prayer and fasting. God’s word never die, there must be an accomplishment. This should give us hope that no matter how long we stay on earth every word of God including the return of Christ for the bride must be fulfilled.

Prophecies are the unfolding of divine plans ordained by God. For it to manifest in our lives we must receive the word and put it to work by our alignment.

Mary and Joseph got married after the visit of the Holy Spirit so they can parent baby Jesus together, for it takes the father and mother to parent a godly child effectively as they both represent God. They never had any sexual contact so that the corruption in the seed of man, which is the effect of the fall of man at the Garden in Eden, would not have contact with the blood of Jesus. Otherwise, it will disqualify the price for redemption. The price of redemption is the blood of a sinless man. Mary was pregnant solely by the power of the Holy Spirit coming upon her. This is a divine mystery that even Satan did not understand; God as almighty and wonderful as he is, becoming a baby like every normal child just to save souls. This alone proves the Love that God has for man. However, he will never lower his standard for any man.

Joseph was a just and upright man as the Bible bears record of this. He hears from God and obeys God that was why the vision of God was not aborted. If he had no personal relationship with God, he won’t be able to understand how a supposed virgin suddenly became pregnant without cheating on him, as she was the only one who had an encounter with Angel Gabriel that brought the discussion in heaven to her. Hence, humanly speaking, it is impossible to believe that idea. Also, Mary and Joseph would have come up with other ideas like aborting the pregnancy so the wedding can go on, or he decides to take revenge by sleeping with her for breaking trust of not waiting till marriage but everything was orchestrated by the hand of God. Mary at that time and age was not the only virgin; she was thirteen or fourteen years old [the Jewish marriageable age at that time] so it’s common to find virgins of that age. But what stood out for her was the prophecy that Jesus would be from Judah and she was of noble personality and most especially a lover of God. This is the distinguishing factor between her and all other virgins.

The name of Jesus was revealed [as Joshua in Greek which means savior] to Joseph and his purpose on earth was clearly spelt out to him, by this he understood the task ahead and as a lover of God he positioned himself for it. The revelation of his name and purpose was also a fulfillment of prophecy as revealed in Isaiah chapter 7 verses 14.

The New Testament is a manifestation and fulfillment of God’s dealing and characters in the old testaments. So, here comes the manifestation of the prophecy, no longer as sayings and dreams but a physical reality. It now became too simple to believe.

Jesus is born in Bethlehem of Judea, a very poor and insignificant place; too poor for the birth of the prophesied Messiah. The Pharisees and Scribes, the Noblemen at that time expected the birth of the Messiah to be in the best hospital and he should be from the wealthiest family. But the ways of man are different from the ways of God; the Messiah came from a very poor earthly background, no meaningful status, no social influence. His birth, however poor a background, caused an unusual influence in the heavenly, that those who studies the stars called astrologers and also referred to as wise men in those days perceived it from the east and came to Jerusalem to welcome the new king. When they got to Herod, who was the king of the Jews at that time, they requested for the place where the new king of the Jews [Jesus came to save the real and adopted Jews and establish his kingdom in their hearts thereby making him the king of the Jews] was born, they actually visited the palace because as everyone, they also thought the Messiah should be of noble birth.

As the wise men entered the palace of King Herod, the star that was directing them became invisible because they had gone where God did not direct them to go. Their intention was to worship Jesus and acknowledge the fulfillment of prophecy, but when they revealed this to king Herod he was troubled in his heart as he felt Jesus came to overthrow his government because he did not understand the Messiah’s kingdom. However, God allowed the wise men to visit the king as a way of announcing to the people and king that the Messiah; they have heard about, is finally born. The King gathered his learned men and chief priests and anxiously inquired of them where Christ was born. They knew it was Bethlehem because Prophet Micah in chapter 5 verse 2 declared it but they could not tell the exact location. That was God’s wisdom at play that no human art or understanding can direct men to him. We only know of God by submitting to the teachings of the Holy Spirit. No one came to Christ because of another; we only believed and submitted to follow because the Holy Spirit convicted us.

Herod still troubled told the wise men to go and search in Bethlehem and if found, they should return to him so he too can join in the worship of the baby. But his true intention is to kill baby Jesus so as to abort the prophecy of his kingship. At that point baby Jesus could die because he was wearing the human body which is subject to death. The star appeared again to give the wise men direction to the exact house baby Jesus was when they had left the palace. This can also be related that when you hold on to or believe situations or solutions of man, you may not get God’s clear and visible direction for your life or on any matter until you step out and depend totally on God. The wise men were thrilled with so much ecstatic joy because they got direction again, exactly what happens to us when we depend on God, we get great fulfillment.

On getting to the house, they saw Mary with the baby, they fell down and worshipped him [purpose fulfilled] and they further presented their treasured gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. These gifts are so significant

After the death of Herod, the Angel took words back to Joseph to return to Israel but Joseph was afraid to go to the land of Israel because Archelaus was king over Judea after the death of his father Herod. Joseph went to Galilee and lived in Nazareth, which was prophesied that Jesus is a Nazarene (separated one]. Our steps have been divinely programmed, if we do not walk in a close intimate relationship with God, Satan will deceive us out.

    Meanwhile, John’s message was clear

‘Here comes the Messiah to be baptized of John’, but John felt unworthy, anyways prophecy must be fulfilled. As soon as Jesus was baptized, John saw the heavens opened and the Spirit of God descending in the likeness of a dove [not as a dove], resting on Jesus and the voice of God followed this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. The baptism of Jesus was a strategy for John to recognize the Messiah; this is a revelation of Jesus’ identity. Then Jesus, as directed by the Holy Spirit, went into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After he has fasted for forty days and forty nights, the tempter came. His fasting and prayer attracted Satan because he had generated power by reason of his spiritual dealings and his spiritual sensitivities are heightened. This is what happens to us too when we fast, that is why it is important we add prayers and Bible study, so the Spirit of God can strengthen us and guide us to maintain focus. No one is above temptation but if the Holy Spirit ministers to our spirit that we are the children of God, it will answer the temptation of the devil. The devil suggested what to eat to the Word of God [Jesus] that created everything. It is not about the bread and stone, it establishes the believer’s identity in Christ to live by the word of God. The Word of God is what sustains a believer’s spirit from the contamination of the world and give it energy just like food sustains the body and give it energy, thus a healthy body and spirit is very vital for a victorious life style. Do you know what is written concerning you?

The ability to understand the Word of God and interpret it according to God’s intention is what gives the believer stamina. Otherwise, the devil will continue to use the Bible against believers.

The Word of God is any platform through which the life of God finds expression. However, the most accurate compendium is the Bible; it has a perfect compilation of God’s dealings with men of old. Both the strength and weakness of the men are revealed in it so as to correct, reprove, exhort, guide and direct believers to stand perfect [matured] and complete in the will of God.

The devil is a liar, he is deceitful and daring. However, he can be resisted. The aim of Satan’s temptation was to make Jesus Christ sin against God, which he will always do to believers. But Jesus Christ gave us an example with it is written despite being the Word himself and full of prayer. Ask yourself, what do you know about what is written?

The Word of God you know and understand is what you will use to deflate the deceptions of the devil at every point in time.

Satan tempted Jesus Christ to doubt God’s provision, protection, and Lordship. This strategy of Satan has not changed till date. The high mountain is the place of advancement and influence; he will tempt men to pride and carelessness. Satan tempted Christ to idolatry with offers of the kingdoms of the world and their glory, this is very charming but he rejected Satan’s proposal with an authoritative ‘get out’. This shows that there are some temptations you do not merely object, you oppose at once. Be quick and firm in resisting temptation to avoid your mind thinking about it or trying to weigh options so you don’t fall for it.

Satan knows the scripture, therefore merely having head knowledge of scripture with lips full of it while the heart is full of enmity to God, will do no good. Satan misinterpreted the Word, but Christ gave him the right application. That is wisdom, accurately dividing the truth. After the temptation, the Angels came to minister strength to him; this encourages us to trust him because by experience he knew what it was to suffer temptation. We can also see this in this light, after any spiritual exercise in the form of fasting, praying, giving and so on, we should not be discouraged that our sacrifice was not acceptable to God if we face challenges, it shows our answer is just few steps away so engage the Word in prayers and confessing it daily with understanding and in thanksgiving so as not to breed discouraging thoughts.

Jesus Christ preached repentance stating that those without God in their hearts are in darkness [a state of ignorance

    THE BELIEVER’S JOURNEY:

These teachings on the mountain by Jesus are the sum total of the blessedness of the kingdom of God and the lifestyle of believers. Who are those truly blessed?

THE POOR IN SPIRIT - Those who are spiritually humble; they do not think highly of themselves. They are considered to be spiritually prosperous and their reward is that they will see the kingdom of heaven and enjoy a replica of heaven while on earth such as absolute peace of mind [perfect health], no struggle, and worry free life and so on. Not because there won’t be challenges but they will count it all Joy as they do not struggle to attain any height except to maintain a mind of Christ and things fall into place for them.

THOSE WHO MOURN - Those who lost everything for the pursuit of God; such as their passion, ego, resources, career, friends, family and many more. The godly sorrow that works true repentance, they will surely be comforted by the spirit of God. They are ones with no feeling for the affluence and things of this world.

THE MEEK - Those who are teachable, easy going, humble, patient and quietly submit to God. They can suffer long for Christ sake, no struggle to have more and can return insult with a gentle answer. Their reward is that they have things that money cannot buy, which is true happiness, comfort and safety even in this chaotic world.

THEY WHO HUNGER AND THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS - Those who are truly born again and their desire is to stand right with God. They truly desire to stand perfect and complete in the will of God and they shall truly be filled by the strength of the Holy Spirit to stand firm in righteousness. Desire for spiritual blessings must be earnest because righteousness was purchased for us by Jesus through the faithfulness of God. The reward is that they will be filled to satisfaction and become matured [perfect] in the knowledge of him.

THE MERCIFUL - Those who are not only patient but bear the affliction/pains of others. They help those in misery, pity those in sin and pray for their repentance. Such merciful people will surely receive mercy [compassion] from God.

THE PURE IN HEART - The pure in heart have holiness and true happiness as their lifestyle regardless of their outward condition. They are purified by faith and reserved for God [separated], they will definitely see God [God reveals himself to them]. As God cannot look upon impurity so the impure cannot look upon the purity of God.

THE PEACEMAKER - Those who seek and maintain peace with everyone possible, they delight in a state of tranquility no matter what it cost them, they are called the sons of God. Their seeking peace is as directed by the Holy Spirit.

THOSE PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSENESS SAKE - Those who suffer various degrees of punishment and hatred including death or being called different unworthy names for the sake of their belief in Christ will surely gain life eternal with God, and for this they are happy and hopeful.

We are to rejoice greatly and give thanks to God for the hope of blessed assurance, the reward is eternal not temporal. The aspect of your life you give God is the aspect you see his glory in manifestation. The prophets of God in time past were terribly dealt with by the people of the world so don’t expect a free ride because you are born again.

The believers of Jesus are described both as the salt and the light of the world. The duty of the salt is to give taste and value to a meal by pulling other ingredients together to make a well-seasoned food, so believers are to pull one another together as disciples to make the place a representation of God’s kingdom. But where believers are releasing trouble, abuse, lies, condemnation, immorality or any form of compromise, they have lost their seasoning essence. What happens to a pack of salt that lost its taste will happen to such believers. It will be thrown in the trash of dishonor, shame, disgrace and irrelevance because it has no use in God’s agenda. It is also the duty of salt to preserve food from being rotten; believers preserve godliness on the earth. Anything different from this means the destruction that awaits Satan will also befall them.

In the same vein, believers as light [understanding] bring illumination to the dark world of sin and wickedness. They are to eliminate to the minimum the ignorance of the world about God. But when they themselves are ignorant, they will suffer the same fate as those in the dark; which is stumbling and falling for all kinds of satanic traps, manipulations and strategies as no light to make them see their path clearly. Where ever light is, it shines no matter how hidden it is placed. No matter how ungodly the world becomes, we are to shine godliness. We are mandated to give the taste of godliness and revelation about Jesus in a godless world, environment or anywhere we find ourselves. The aim is not to show you are better but live a godly life that those who are in ignorance will see and come to the brightness of the light by way of emulation. However, light will also attract the wickedness but never dim your light, the end is that Christ will be glorified. When your light shines, people see your good works and praise God not you. Your life becomes a pointer [sign board] to God.

Christ came to fulfill and complete the laws of the old; the New Testament is, therefore the fulfillment of the Old Testament. The new of anything is an upgraded version of the old with better features, expanded knowledge and principles. Both the old and the new testaments of the Bible are not different but a continuation and are both authored by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

The righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees were mere religious show with no bases to glorify God. They do things to be seen and applauded by people. For us to be partakers of divine inheritance, our righteousness must exceed theirs. We must do things based on our knowledge of who God is and not for religious show or sentiments. To be perfect as God is to do things above the ordinary. Be spiritually matured, do good without sentiment or partiality, treat everyone [rich or poor, friends or enemies] with honor, this will make your righteousness supersede that of the unbelievers. The unbelievers love those who love them, treat well those who treat them well, it’s an equal share of responsibility but not so for believers. They are like their Father, God, who gives rain to the rich and poor, the just and wicked alike. Your spiritual growth is measured by the level of your alignment to God and love is the major personality of spirituality you put on to be in the class of God holy. To be holy is to be set apart from everything that is not God, God is Holy because he is in a class of his own so we must be set apart from sin and anything ungodly, it is not a matter of right or wrong but a matter of godliness.

Religious duties for public show do not attract heavenly reward or compensation but the vain applauds of men and that itself does not benefit but fuels pride to manifest, so is giving to the needy for everyone to see. Help those in need that even your closest friend doesn’t know about it, and even if they must know, let it be to encourage each other to do good and not to show that you are nice, the motive should not be for display of wealth but to glorify God.

Jesus teaches about prayer; Do not engage in public display of spirituality because it breeds spiritual pride. Pray rather with a secret mindset where for instance it is done in the open like the church. The goal is not to show that you can pray very well but rather to communicate with God, your Father. God already knows our need even before it arises, but he wants us to ask him, this is to create relationship with him and to reverence him not with needless repetition like the occult do or the calling of dead saint names but with understanding of what you know about him

    PRAYER STRUCTURE:

Our Father - An understanding that he is Abba Father [our source, sustainer, and provider] and acknowledging him as not just your Father but the Father of all, he has the ability to father as many as possible.

Who art in heaven - Acknowledge that he resides in a realm that is not earthly and you know he exist.

Hallowed be your name - Honor his name, reverence him and recognize that he is holy, just and in a class of his own.

Your kingdom come - Allowing God’s influence to prevail. In his kingdom is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven - Establish his kingdom, his dominion and governing principles on earth, your life, family and so on as it is carried out in heaven. God desires a replica of his domain on earth.

Give us this day our daily bread - Ask for your daily need for he loads us with daily benefits. Knowing that our everyday matters to God is a blessed assurance that we will never be stranded. Not only does your future matters, daily supplies and sufficiency for instance favor, healing, access to superior dimensions across the cosmos [the universe] like career opportunities, business influence, and all forms of open doors also matter to him.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us - Offenses are bound to come as long as you are living. Ask for grace to release forgiveness to those who wronged you because it is the same measure you use for them God will use for you.

Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil - For as your daily bread comes, the adversary must come, you don’t invite him, he is attracted by the daily bread [favor etc]. Hence, the need to constantly ask for deliverance and protection against temptation and offense, protection against the strategies, manipulations and traps of Satan and the flesh which is the fallen nature of man. They can come in form of discouragement, sickness, confusion, compromise, distraction, pleasure, greed, exhaustion, depression, frustration, physical and spiritual attacks, persecutions of various kind and many more and so believe that God will deliver you from it all.

For yours is the kingdom, thine power and glory, forever - Exhorting his supremacy over all powers, thanking him for deliverance, establishing his kingdom that’s brings peace, righteousness and joy and acknowledging his dominion and power remain for everlasting.

    Basically the content of prayer is;

    Worship God in thanksgiving,

Establish his purpose which is to reign in your life and on earth,

    Present your needs,

    Obtain forgiveness,

Seek his deliverance and protection from Satan and your flesh and

Honor him in faith that he has answered you.

Jesus further teaches on fasting; ‘The rule is no sad or hungry face’. Just you alone is aware, you do not go about telling everyone you deserve certain pity or reverence due to your strength of fasting. Every spiritual exercise with pure motive is equivalent to storing treasures in heaven, for instance, fasting, prayer, study of the scriptures, giving, helping people, any form of service in and outside the church and many more. Therefore, store your treasures in heaven with understanding and reverence to God not for the applause of men. Do not do it to be appreciated rather be encouraged in God [the satisfaction that comes with loving God].

Literally, the eyes are the light of the body so whatever affects the eyes darkened the whole body. Scripturally, the conscience is the eye of a man. And when the conscience of a person is full of evil imaginations, bitterness, rage, pride, immoralities and all ungodliness, it will affect the person’s mindset, actions, speech, and general way of life. Same vein, we are the eyes [light] of the church of God, if we err or do not work in godliness, it will have a negative effect on others thereby making us not to shine and reflect godliness on the earth or our immediate environment.

    More to this, Jesus taught us about;

The effect of worry: Worry has never produced anything positive. It always rob us of our happiness, health, self-esteem, hope and also it is a sign of distrust to God and you cannot serve God without faith, worry limits God’s abundance supply in our lives. When you worry about what to wear or eat or do at a particular time, which is always the focus of our worry, it means you are worshipping money and its deceitfulness, the same way pagans does. Rather, let your concern be God’s kingdom and what is required of you. God is committed to take care of your needs as they arise. Instead of worry, meditate on God’s promises and covenants towards those who trust him. The same energy you need to worry is the same you need to meditate on God’s love. The dangerous aspect of worry is that fear is released into your spirit and when it comes, it invites other spirits worse than itself. It could come with sickness, depression, frustration, bitterness, hatred, negative addiction and so on. This is why worries lead to severe sickness like hypertension, cardiac arrest and others. But meditation on God’s love releases faith into your spirit which gives life to all your bones and cells. It leads to an outburst of joy and trust in God thereby causing you to be strengthened to face life challenges with boldness and you will overcome because you now depend on God’s ability not yourself.

Criticism: The same judgment rule you apply to others is what will be used for you. Often what we criticize others about, we are guilty of it. Hence, before you judge others and criticize them, take time and examine your life, fix where there are lapses first and when you are done, you won’t have time to criticize others of their error because you would know better. This is not to say that you cannot correct or reprove people when they err, but it works with the law of justice; ‘he who comes to equity must come with clean hand’. So first reform yourself before you try to reprove others. Treat others the same way you would want to be treated, everyone would want a loving correction or kind rebuke so do so to others first. Instead of criticizing what people did or fail to do, pray for them and if you have access to them, correct them in love as you would want to be corrected. Ensure your attitude or words of corrections are kind enough to reform their hearts and not make them stubborn.

Prayerlessness: A Christian who does not pray is likened to a person who does not breathe. Such person is dead, but in this case dead spiritually [anything passes through your spirit at will, no sensitivity, no discernment, and no connection to God]. Jesus our model, beginner and completer of our Christian journey was intimate with God as a man by praying always, we are to emulate him by always praying. Prayer is one of the platforms on which we build our intimacy with God. It is also a platform for asking our needs from God, seeking directions and guidance and gain access to some levels in the spirit realm and on earth. God knows exactly what we need, when we need it and what befits us, but he wants us to ask to create fellowship not just a platform for collecting our daily needs. Fellowship with God is a system of defense from the cares of this world, deceitfulness of riches, and wickedness of Satan. Deliverance of any kind comes in response to prayer; prayer filters your perception until the truth stands especially when you are confuse on a matter. Even as you rise in life never ignore a consistent prayer life for it is your pillar.

The Heaven’s gate is narrow, very high standard and pressure, with no impurity or human wisdom neither boast of human effort so it has a very few number of people going through because they can’t pay the price for the standard but hell’s gate on the other hand is very wide with great number of people going through, it does not require any standard of living, unbelief and sin are the requirement which is easy to access--- Everything valuable and costly is not easily accessible. Guard against false teachings, whoever teaches anything outside of Christ’s teaching is false or portray a lifestyle that does not befits a believer, they are nicknamed wolf in sheep clothing [pretentious character, wicked but pretends to be kind], they are those who say what they are not and ask others to do what they cannot do. False teachers build reality outside the knowledge of God and make the focus be on them or something else different from God.

You are considered wise when you obey the teachings of Jesus. Doing the teachings of Jesus grants sustainability, builds capacity and strength that nothing has the ability to pull you down. This is equivalent to building on a solid rock that cannot be moved by any kind of wind, which comes in form of challenges, issues and even people that causes discouragement and spiritual weakness or comfort of life. Whereas, not obeying on the other hand makes you flexible and weightless, no strength against adversity, complain and murmuring, worry, easily moved by doctrines and trends which is the same as building on sand that has no solid foundation.

It’s evil to think negative of what God is doing through someone. A healthy mindset thinks well of others, just like a healthy tree produce healthy fruits, worthy of admiration and good for food. Unlike a depraved mindset, that is like a decaying tree that produces worthless fruits. You cannot give what you do not have; you will always say and do what is locked up inside you. The Word of God is a purifier so allow him to cleanse you from inside so you can produce good fruits worthy of admiration. These good fruits are your deeds, speech, actions, including body gestures and many more. When you have bitterness locked up inside you, anger and frustration is what you will pour out to people at the slightest provocation. But when the Lord garrisons your heart with his joy and love of God, you subconsciously share his love to others by how you treat and talk to people. Jesus was full of compassion, he was not compassionate to the rich for him to gain from them but because he loved them. He showed it to all including the demon possessed because that is what he is inside.

God values simple acts of kindness than huge animal sacrifices because the kindness reveals his love to people. Performing miracles and mighty works in the name of Jesus without a personal relationship with him and obedience to his word is a disaster that will make many not to enter God’s kingdom. According to Jesus teachings on the mount, hearing his words [equivalent to studying and meditating till it becomes part of you] and doing them is the key [knowledge/power] to God’s kingdom. Obedience brings you into the realm of God, it tells of your loyalty to the Lordship of Jesus.

A leper came to meet Jesus as he was coming down from the mountain; the first thing he did was to prostrate and worship Jesus and then asked for healing by the mercies of Jesus. Jesus had mercy on him and healed him. This is an attitude we should have; worship [acknowledge his supremacy and Lordship through spiritual songs, hymns, psalms, or eulogy] and demand your need by mercy and not as of right. After the healing of the leper, a Centurion [Roman officer equivalent of a captain] came to meet Jesus for the healing of his servant who was paralyzed with intense body pain. Jesus assured him that he would come but the Centurion replied he need not come; just his word can heal the servant. Jesus wondered at such a mighty faith, he was not expecting laying of hands or shouting but believed that Jesus had so much authority that his words carry same power as his presence. Jesus was not walking around with armed soldiers but the centurion could perceive that he was mightier than earthly soldiers. Also, he had the mindset that he was unfit to have Jesus in his house; this was a display of humility and reverence. This action marveled Jesus that he confessed not to have seen this kind of faith among his own people (the Jews was Jesus earthly kinsmen). Jesus is always happy when we display the knowledge of him. He wants everyone to know him. However, it was disturbing to Jesus that strangers knew him and his own people do not know him. Well, many who became adopted children will partake of the inheritance of the kingdom while the supposed heirs of the kingdom by way of covenant will be sent away to suffer eternal damnation. Jesus, however, told him to go that his believe has compelled the power of God to heal the sick servant and that same moment he was healed. Halleluiah!!! The knowledge of Jesus increases and builds our faith in him. In faith we are rewarded with a certificate of testimony that we pleased God. Without faith it is impossible to please God [Hebrews 11:6]. The testimony is not that we got what we want but that we trusted God irrespective of obvious challenges.

Jesus and his disciples went to Peter’s house and met his mother-in-law very sick with fever, Jesus touched her and immediately the fever left. This reminds us that Christ can heal any form of sickness no matter how little or terrible it may be. By evening of that same day, everyone had brought their sick and demonized family members and friends to be healed by Jesus and with just a word, he healed them all. It is pertinent to know that this healing was a fulfillment of the prophecy of Isaiah [he himself took our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases]. The healings and miracles were part of his assignment on earth and he did it perfectly well. Living out the supernatural is an attribute of a believer.

As great crowd of people followed him, Jesus crossed to the other side of the lake and yet a certain Scribe won’t let him be, he told Jesus how he loved to follow him anywhere he goes, one would think that Jesus will be encouraged by that due to his social status but Christ saw his heart and reminded him that he does not have a permanent place of rest on earth. This reply seems canal and worldly but that was the situation so the Scribe should not be expecting a far better treatment because of his
