Christina Mary White

Christina Mary White, finding herself dedicated to a sedentary lifestyle after accepting involuntarily the aftermath of a stroke’s dictate and exacerbated by a total loss of balance, duly immersed herself in exploring bright new beginnings and reignited her passion for writing. She has always enjoyed encouraging creative writing amongst young children – her own, in addition to ones she taught. In addition, Christina is deriving considerable pleasure from a memoir’s scribing, relating to her all-too-personal experiences of the last few years, endured as of necessity, as a resident within the elderly residential care sphere.

    Synopsis

The enclosed work has been tentatively awarded title of Caprice in my fair imagination’s inclining, its identifying as my mind’s opportunity toward an exploratory deviation’s journey, restricted neither to specific genre, nor time period, nor expectations’ decree, but merely allowed to go down a route’s ‘off at a tangent’. Very often when I make a start on a new poem, I have no thought or indication as to where it might lead or upon quite what I might find myself pronouncing. I merely go with the flow of my thought processes promoting toward bearing particular personal significance. I embarked upon ‘serious’ writing intent soon after having suffered a stroke, through which I lost the use of my left side. Much of my work, although far from morbid, does relate, (while yet bearing wry amusement, I trust), around the experience and iniquities all too inherent and apparent within the residential care sphere.
