Esoterica Unveiled: A Compendium of Light

About this ebook
Let's be honest. Most of us operate in a world of illusion. We make decisions not really knowing why we made them and are unaware how those decisions affect others. In short, we say we believe but are unsure exactly why we believe. We have an innate need to consciously justify our actions and are rarely satisfied with the outcomes. There is the underlying fear of not being fully accepted by others, even in our personal relationships. Because of this, our value system, moral obligations, and understanding of "self" is often skewed or misinterpreted.
What has anchored our belief system in the past is long gone. If it does still exist, it is often diminished and ineffective. To restore faith in humanity in this world of disillusion, we must make choices based on established rules and guidelines, some to our detriment. Through reevaluation and self-reflection, we can redefine our existence, functionality, our goals, and travel knowingly and with confidence on our appointed pathways.
Esoterica Unveiled requires us to examine our values and determine direction by tapping into the conscience of the reader. This colorful and purposeful collection of short stories, poems, and universal quotes will provide a critical formula toward better understanding of where we are and the factors that influence our humanitarian impact. I trust that through this experience, you may also find clarity and understanding as you accept your unique path without fear or prejudice. This is the first step in working together for the common good.

Prologue
There are times when we must boldly face our circumstances despite uncertainties, self-doubt, and fears. We come face to face with ourselves and ask questions that we do not want answers to. We respond to those questions with answers that we can neither rationalize nor decipher. Our desire for self-understanding is in vain because we do not really want to face the truth of our reality. We do not want to fully commit to our purpose—so we are at a standstill on the path to self-understanding, acceptance, and fulfilment.
There are times when we are determined to seek solutions to common questions, which we can consciously understand, make sense of, and utilize to some acceptable degree. Our efforts, values, ideals, and experiences are meaningless, and we live in constant fear, questioning our motives and core beliefs. We are afraid to face that image in the mirror, afraid that the image reflected may be too critical of its own outward reflection. Self-confrontation is necessary for self-determination if we are to move forward. We must look deep within until our core beliefs, operational processes, and deepest secrets are shared in one realm. Our operative conscience then has no other choice than to synchronize with the subconscious realm of our existence.
There are times when we go about our daily lives like bees in perpetual motion moving about in random discord, doing things that seemingly give us purpose—and value. We walk boldly as masters of our domain, proud and all-knowing, with veiled smiles, constantly trying to justify our daily performance. Then as the primary actor in this single episode, we righteously bow at the end of each day to justified applause, savoring the cheers from the crowd. The curtain closes. The actor swiftly exits the stage as if fleeing condemnation and pending doom. The auditorium fades into darkness at the end like it was in the beginning, except for a single dim light high above. All is still and quiet in the end. The audience was never there.
Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb; When I made the clouds its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling band; When I fixed my limit for it, And set bars and doors; When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!
—Job 38:8–11 NKJV
The Seven Seas
The smallest wave is no less important than a large roaring white-capped ocean swell of massive proportions. They are formed for a specific purpose, and under specific conditions, they carry out their respective tasks perfectly and absolutely, travelling far and wide, always obedient to the laws of nature. Nature herself roars and whispers and is present and precise all at once. The hand of the Supreme Creator is constantly shaping and changing the sea-state
environment, its ebb and flow, and all that lives within submit to these changing conditions, sustaining life within their own lives. Like the creatures of the sea, we must endure moments that are only snippets in time, and we must, in accordance, show ourselves worthy and approved, ever trusting that we are part of this grand design. The Supreme Creator provides perspectives about His greatness and offers empathy and respite to those who are burdened. God, by any name, requires us to not just commit to trials through our actions but show faith by absolutely trusting in Him. We will then be better equipped to persevere as our confidence in His greatness and mercy increases and secure in the knowledge that through it all, the trials are for our benefit. Though change is constant and sure, we cannot manage change, but we can only manage ourselves as an intricate, unique, and necessary component of change. Just stand on
