The Hanged Person
Alice walked down the hall and nearly walked into her aunt. Sorry, I didn’t realize you were there.
Madeline smiled. You must be thinking too hard.
Alice shrugged. Perhaps.
She blinked. Is that the next card you want me to study?
Madeline nodded and handed over the Hanged Person card. Alice took it and nodded back. They walked away from each other. Madeline to the greenhouse and Alice up to her room.
She sat down at her desk and quickly found the two corresponding cards from her decks. She grabbed her notebook and pen and started taking notes. She frowned as she studied the cards. Clearly, the person was constrained in one way. In another, the person was quite reflective with plenty of blood flowing to their head.
She thought for a time and wondered
