Carly was a 23 y.o. business student at the University College. She was a 5'7 athlete, with her short brown hair in a neat pixie cut. She was a C to B student, and she did not intend on changing that. She spent most of her time on the stadium or on the track, hanging out with a few other sporty gals or occasionally chatting with one of the guys from the football team. She was pretty brash, and by no means a coward.

Her only problem would've been her science course she had to take per the Uni requirements. She hated science. And math. It just wasn't her thing. Her family looked down on nerds, so she steered clear of this geeky stuff. Thus, the class in question would've been a problem for her. IF it wasn't for the guy teaching it.

He was a middle-aged, svelte man, about 6'2 tall. And he was a typical nerd. He always wore a shirt with a bowtie at work, he was almost never seen without his lab coat, and he wore oval glasses in silver frames. He seemed timid, rarely talked to anyone first, laughed a lot nervously, and he brought up the nerdiest topics during his pitiful attempts at conversation.

Despite working with pretty fragile equipment, he was quite clumsy. And so it happened that one day, he had dropped a very sensitive, very expensive device, which had not been insured yet.
