About this ebook

These are stories about overcoming bullying. Isabella was a little girl growing up, wanting to make friends and have fun. However, that differs from what happened--starting at an incredibly early age and continuing through elementary and high school years. Isabella became familiar with bullying. She always wondered why some other children wanted to hurt her and not be her friend. She kept an excellent, happy heart and loved them anyway.

The purpose of this book is to help anyone who is experiencing intimidation. Harassment comes in verbal and nonverbal forms, and both children and adults need help from God to overcome and get through such challenging times. The little girl growing up in these stories had that help and came through to become a strong and successful woman. She wanted to share what Jesus had done for her and give him Praise and Glory.

Why does anyone feel the need to hurt someone else for no reason?

The word is bullying. Such a nasty word.

    1

The bullying started for Isabella in the first grade at the early age of five years old with no idea what it was or what it meant and how it would affect her.

She was a sweet, carefree girl who wanted to play and have friends. She loved the outdoors, picking dandelions and blowing them, and watching with curiosity as they would go in all directions; some came back in her face.

Isabella was a bright and lovely child beginning to start school. It would be made up of laughs, name-calling, and bullying by other kids her age.

Isabella wants to tell her story of bullying and peer pressure and how she overcame it with love in her heart that only Jesus could have given her. She wants you to know there will always be bullies, but you can overcome their nonsense by being strong and keeping the love in you that they are trying to take away.

There will always be peer pressure, but know you have the right to say no. Never be afraid to walk away. Even in your loneliest moment and when everyone is doing something they shouldn't, if asked to join in, say no. Believe in yourself and the power of love in Jesus. You can do it.

The love they see in you may help the bullies change their way to be better kids and adults.

This bullying would continue every year in some form from first grade through twelfth grade.

Isabella was always a good kid who loved everyone and didn't know anything about this type of behavior. She had much love in her heart and always had a smile.

Isabella's heart full of love helped her through the years, and here is her story.

    2

Her first experience of being bullied was in first grade. The family had moved to another state, and she started her school year there. The school was in a big city, and she was from the Appalachian Mountains, but Isabella did not see or know how she was any different from other children her age.

The kids would stare at her and laugh at her. She was only five years old and wondered why they were treating her like this, as there was nothing she had done to them.

No one wanted to play with her. She would try to join in with the kids, but they did not want her around them. They would continue to be mean and tell her they did not want to play with her. It was a significant class of kids who appeared to act the same.

One day, the food pyramid was set up in front of the class while the kids were seated at their desks. The teacher tells the students they would
