The Amusement Park: Sleep Travelers, #2

About this ebook
In Little Dawnie's world, she and her three friends are transported to any part of the world they "think" they want to go. Come along with Little Dawnie, Dog, Ning, and Boss to fun places where they can do anything and never be hurt. If by chance they are in danger, all they have to do is either think themselves away from it or wake up in their own beds.
Dawnie excitedly told her friends about the fun rides and games her Daddy had read to her from her book about an amusement park!
This time, they "think" of going to the amusement park, and voila, they are there! Ning doesn't like to get dirty, and she voiced her opinion of the dirty field! When she learned the field has grass, she relented!
Ning thought the eye-closing was silly but did it to please Little Dawnie.
Boss was concerned that the lights and sounds would disturb the neighbors surrounding the field, but they didn't!
The Trio is surprised at the rides, games, and things to see.
When riding the Ferris Wheel, Dawnie exclaimed, "See that building? That's where I will be going to school next fall!" The Trio was a little sad, thinking she would forget them, but she said, "Please don't be sad. I promise I will never forget you!"
And she didn't, or this story would never have been written!
Don't you wonder who won the race between Dawnie's Unicorn and Dog' Horse on the merry-go-round? Dawnie wasn't thrilled with the slow boats in the Tunnel of Love, so she decided to look for Cotton candy and drinks!
That's when Mr. Shirl joined them and became their tour guide. They tried the ring toss over the milk bottles! Breaking balloons with Darts! Dog and Mr. Shirl hovered near Little Dawnie, making sure she was safe, and allowed her to toss the darts.
Mr. Shirl took them to the Big Top for a private performance! The Ring Master said, "Welcome to the private performance of The Greatest Show at Dreamers Paradise for Ning, Dog, Boss, and Miss Dawnie!" They were treated to the whole show just for them! They were thrilled with the clowns squirting them with water, except Ning! She didn't like to be wet!
Shaundour, the Lion Tamer, trilled and scared them with his performing lions, but that didn't compare to all four riding on the lion's backs and brushing them.
Seeing the horses and Elephants in the same enclosure was surprising. After a ride on the elephant's back, they met Belinda and her two horses, Buddy and Jack. And were thrilled to get a short ride on them, too!
The last thing they visited was the fun house where they got separated! Meeting up again outside the Fun House, Mr. Shirl asked, "Have you had enough fun tonight? Maybe it is time to go home and sleep."
A sleepy Little Dawnie said, "Yes, I think we are ready to go home. I had a lovely time and will be ready for another Adventure soon!"
Are you ready for more adventures with Little Dawning and her friends?

Creating worlds and characters and wielding power like a madwoman makes my characters happy, sad, angry, and have no redeeming qualities. I laugh aloud when writing a scene, and I have been known to cry when one of my favorites dies. I am a left-handed Gemini; what do you expect?

The Amusement Park

This book was another Labor of Love. Dawnzella (Little Dawnie) is my Dawta and my firstborn. She holds a special place in my heart; she is my Rock; she picks me up when I fall on my face and kicks me in the butt when it is needed.
A child’s imagination is a wonderful thing and must be encouraged. They vividly imagine being the Captain of their Pirate ship, the hero of their adventure, handsome, beautiful, brilliant, and strong. They conquer the world and do anything and everything. The lucky ones keep that childhood wonder; it is so sad many adults lose it on the long, bumpy road to adulthood. This is the story of a young girl who will never lose that childhood wonder.
In this story, she is the little girl who is never lonely. Most children have an imaginary playmate if they are the only child. My Dawta had three. She spent many hours playing with them and having imaginary adventures on our Sun Porch in Fairfield, Maine.
She could not remember what they were, but she remembered their names, which was Ning, Dog, and Boss!
My imagination created this concept of what they might have been. When Dawnzella was little, we did have a Siamese cat, and as an adult, she fostered an African Gray Parrot. There is always some truth in fiction! Her fellow adventurers could have been a Dog, a Cat, and a Parrot.
I thank her for allowing me to delve into her precious childhood memories and share them with you.
Also, my thanks and admiration go to my faithful husband, Shirl Colbath, of 62 years, who is portrayed as Mr. Shirl in this book. He also does my covers, edits, and proofreads, too! He never tries to bring me down to earth
with my crazy ideas for books. His encouragement is what keeps me going.
My books are a family affair, and I value the encouragement of Jaz, a talented artist, Christopher, for helping me navigate Word and my entire family unit,
without whose encouragement I would never write another word.
I Love You More!
