The Upgraded Writer- Evolution Never Stops

How long has it been ,

Since you got a new phone?

The one that you have is slow and old,

No need to cling on to it, it is not gold.

Every year there is always a new one,

That is sold on the marketplace.

    The televisions are updated,

    Yesterday’s phone is not outdated.

    The laptop and the computer,

Need an urgent upgrade to work well.

Do you need to upgrade as a writer?

Only time and your work will tell.

When you need to upgrade your phone,

You just go out and buy a shiny new one.

When you need a faster upgraded laptop,

You get one at the expensive new shop.

How do you upgrade a writer?

Evolution never stops we all know.

Learn the craft and develop it every day,

It will help you to upgrade as a writer, this way.

When Lightning Strikes Me- It sends electric inspiration through me

    When lightning strikes a tree,

It can split the tree into two.

Nothing can usually survive a lightning bolt,

Unlike the fictional hero the Flash,

Who does a mile in a superfast dash.

    When lightning strikes a building,

The lightning conductor sends the current,

Down to the soil and the wet Earth.

Electrical appliances can burn out and crash,

Losing us good equipment and piles of cash.

When lightning strikes me and not a tree,

Like inspiration from out of the blue,

It sends electric inspiration through me.

I keep writing with zeal and great passion,

Literary pieces from my overactive imagination.

When a bolt of inspiration hits me,

It results in great mental activity.

When rolls of thunder and flashes of light,

Hit my mind during the day or the night,

I must sit down and write, till daylight.

The Courage to Write and Create- Find it within yourself

There are people who want to write,

There are some who want to create,

Ideas, poems and stories on a plate.

While there are others who write,

Yet, they hide their work from the light.

Let the world enjoy it with pure delight.

A million ideas are locked away,

In the minds of those who desire,

To write great stories and poems someday.

The world of readers is always waiting,

For a work that is interesting and entertaining.

Being a writer does not need special training,

You can be a writer, who can make words sing.

Look within yourself and hear your muse,

It is time for you to create your work.

It is time for you to release those ideas,

Born in the creativity of the cosmic spheres.

Find the courage within to write and create,

Spectacular pieces that we cannot elaborate.

    Reflections all around Us

    The world surrounds us,

    The world engulfs us.

We are a part of this world,

That is also an important part of us.

There are reflections that we see,

There are images all around us,

    In mirrors, in reflective spaces,

On shiny surfaces to ponds and seas.

    Were you someone’s image today?

Did you see your reflection today?

Our lives are reflections of this world.

We live on the reflections of life every day.

    Keep reflecting and living life,

This is a life of mirrors and smoke.

Your life is more than a reflection,

It is yours and needs direction.

Staring at the Sun Is a Blinding Experience- Do you stare at the Sun in your Life?

Every person knows that when you

Stare at the Sun you get,

    Blinded by the bright light.

All you see is white light,

    As the surroundings

    Dissolve all around you.

Yet we stare at the Sun,

    We want to be blinded,

    By that shining bright

    Strong and warm sunlight.

Have you stared at the Sun?

In your life as a writer,

In your life as a creator,

In your life as a parent,

In your life as a spouse?

    We stare at the Sun,

    When we have life experiences,

Which we would rather not undergo.

Life experiences we do not need or want.

Yet, we must face these painful moments,

Because they help us to grow,

    As individuals and as creators.

    Does the Moon Inspire Creativity?

Some poets look at the Moon,

They feel love within their hearts.

Some artists look at the Moon,

They want to capture its light.

    Does the Moon inspire,

Creativity in your heart and soul?

Does the moonlight release your imagination,

To make you feel creative and whole?

    Do you see the Moon,

As a sacred goddess of the night?

A solitary lover wating for her mate?

As a guardian who protects the night?

What do you feel when you see the Moon?

Happiness from December, January to June.

Does your Moon come out to play,

In the night away from the light of day?

    Genome Sequencing to Good Health

It is sometimes hard to believe,

That science fiction can come true.

For you to know how to manage your health,

Just by looking at an app of your sequencing gene,

Managing your health will be on a mobile screen.

Volunteers are now giving their blood,

All around the world for this landmark project.

The latest innovation in medicine and science,

The marvels of genomics and gene sequence.

It will be possible for you to see,

The roots and origins of your ancestry.

A Prayer is a whisper that crosses worlds

There are people who pray for good health,

There are some who pray for peace,

There are some who pray for wealth,

While there are some who do not pray at all.

Did you hear a whisper of a prayer?

    Today, yesterday or somewhere.

What sort of prayer do you say,

Is it one where sacred words interplay?

Did you say a gratitude prayer today?

To thank the Creator for making you.

Did you say a special prayer this morning?

One that would make the day easier for you.

A prayer is a whisper that crosses worlds,

It takes your requests from here to eternity.

Prayers for your loved ones gone ahead.

Prayers to assist you as you move ahead.

Prayers connect you to your Creator,

Better to say as many as you can now,

Rather than to save them all for later.

Time runs out, believe me, sooner or later.

    The Spider Invasion started Yesterday

The spiders were tiny and almost

    Invisible to the naked eye.

The spiders could be found low,

The spiders could be found high.

On high ceilings and tree branches,

    You could spot spiders yesterday.

Dangling over tea cups and cakes,

In your hair, the spiders were there.

    The spider invasion started yesterday,

There were spiders wherever you looked.

There were spiders on the window pane,

There were scores crawling down the drain.

    Spiders were weaving their webs,

All over the cities and the towns.

There were spiders in your kitchens,

    They were over-ground and underground.

Yesterday the weather was just right,

For the spiders to show their spidery might.

No number of sprays and fumigation,

Could prevent the great spider invasion.

Science News- Deep Brain Simulation to Overcome Depression

Today, I read a very interesting bit of science news, that can bring hope to many people who suffer depression around the world. An estimated 280 million people worldwide suffer from depression. Deep brain simulation seems to have the cure, that these people need.

Jon Nelson with a wife and children, was one of these people, who underwent the deep brain simulation procedure. It was a success and he does want to tell the world how deep brain simulation saved him from living through years of depression. It is an experimental surgery that sends electricity into the brain.

Would you sell your dreams for one extra day?

Every night, when the skies are dark,

When the Moon is a pure crystal white,

    The Dream Merchant comes riding,

    To the dreamer’s front door.

He comes from across the seas,

    The oceans of unsound slumber.

    He comes with open cases,

    To carry your dreams away.

Will you let the Dream Merchant in?

Will you beg him to stop and stay?

He comes on his steed with speed,

Like the hounds of hell with thunder.

He will steal your nightmares and horrors away,

He will claim your soul on some misty dark day.

When the night is evil and the air is cold,

When whispers can be heard in the breeze.

She comes on her fierce black stallion,

To steal your dreams and nightmares away.

She is a hooded angel of brightest visage,

That rides through the swamps of hell.

The Dream Merchants comes to visit us,

Every night when the skies open,

    Every night, when nightmares thrive.

She comes on her steed from hell,

To buy and sell dreams as we can tell.
