My father, Melvyn Brown, who was my hero and who inspired me as a writer, Storyteller, passed away peacefully, at home, at the age of 84 in June 2023. There are a few literary pieces that I have composed dedicated to my father, mentor and Writing Coach. We all need a writing coach, as we walk the Writer’s Way in life.

Time Travel with Adobe Firefly A.I. Photography

Ihave been trying my hand at creating digital art, with the help of an A.I. Image creator, the latest Adobe Firefly (beta) program. This is an amazing A.I. Art generator that can create any image that you can imagine. All that you need to do is suggest the image that you want the program to create and within a few seconds or a minute, a set of one, to four images will be created for you.

The images reproduced are not perfect, but I guess that they will get better over time. The images can be created in a variety of styles and it is up to you to be as creative as possible. You can create an imaginative prompt with details of the image that you want to see and Adobe Firefly will create those images for you. It is advisable to offer feedback, so that the creators can improve the program and you also have the option of sharing the images with the community. This A.I. Image generation program is wonderful for great storytelling and if you are a storyteller, you will appreciate the wonderful images it creates.

I took three place, Japan, London and New York and asked Adobe Firefly to create images for me, of the places 100 years ago, 500 years ago and 1000 years ago. This was like an experiment in time-travel with the help of this remarkable A.I. Image generator.

I next decided to travel to the future and view the same places 500 years in the future. What do you like about my Writing?

There are some writers who produce powerful writing, there are some who create humorous literary pieces, while there are some who produce writings that are insipid, while there are some who get A.I. to produce lengthy pieces of text, that lack emotion and does not connect with the readers.

I have read some articles, stories and poems that are so powerful that they make you question what you know and believe. There are some pieces I have read which are forgettable. However, we must remember that the work of every writer is invaluable, as it tells you their story.

No one is born a writer, capable of producing great literary masterpieces, while evoking powerful emotional responses from his or her readers. I like to say that we are all writers in progress and the path to writing great literature is the goal of this very useful evolutionary process.

Ultimately, it is not the life of the writer, the writing style, content or presentation that we remember for years to come. The key ingredient that makes the work of a writer memorable and unforgettable, is how it has made you feel as a reader.

Wanted 1000 True Fans

Do you have 1000 Followers or Fans? There are some people who have more than one thousand followers and fans on social media platforms. However, all those fans and followers are not people who they interact with or who are genuinely interested in what the writer or artist has to offer.

I recently read the book by Jon Longhurst, called 1000 True Fans. In that book he states that in order for a person to be successful and to make a living doing what he or she enjoys, they need to have 1000 true fans.

Who are these true fans? This refers to the product that you create that requires your own labour and secondly, people are ready to purchase the product or service that you create.

The characteristics of a True Fan:

An individual who enjoys your work and what you create.

A person who is willing to spend money to buy your product or service.

An individual who has signed up to receive your newsletter monthly or weekly.

A person who interacts with you from time to time.

An individual who follows you on social media platforms and spreads your message with the world.

A person who waits in anticipation to purchase the products that you create on a regular basis.

An individual who is also willing to become a paying member or subscriber for your newsletter or course.

A person who offers constructive criticism for your work.

An individual who appreciates you and your creative work at all times.

A person who enjoys all the valuable content that you create and is willing to be your patron so that you can keep creating imaginative content to inspire them and others.

10 points on how to Get Discovered?

Creators are involved in creating what they know and love. Every artist, poet, writer and creator know what it is to get an idea and then to gradually form it into something that represents who they are as an individual. As a creator you love creating and do not have the time or interest in putting your work in front of the world.

I am reminded of the countless creators, artists, poets and writers, who write or create pieces for themselves or their small circle of friends and family to enjoy. There is inevitably a time when the person creating all these pieces decides that it is time for the world to see his or her creations.

This brings me the to book, Show Your Work! written by Austin Kleon, which shows 10 ways in which you can share your creativity and get discovered. There is one YouTuber, Ali Abdaal, who I follow on YouTube for the great content that he produces. Ali Abdaal used to be a Doctor in the NHS in Britain. After two years of working as a doctor he gave up his job and now earns a substantial income on YouTube. Ali has been greatly influenced by the book by Austin Kleon who he also interviews in one of his several videos.

You need to get discovered and the world needs to know what you have to offer. Your creation could be the best way for you to become a successful entrepreneur. It is only when you decide to show your work to the world, will you become a success in your field of endeavour.

Ten points on how to get discovered:

Social Media- Join social media platforms and share your work.

Videos: Create YouTube videos and show people your skills and talents.

Articles: Contribute articles to sites in your field or niche.

eBook: In order to become an authority in your niche, it is necessary to write a book or eBook related to
