The Motivational and Moral Guide Quotes by Charles Ozo Esogbue is a book derived from the conscious efforts of an author  whose philosophical and morally guided life forms the centre piece. It is a philosophical, motivational and moral guide to life in the diverse spheres of human sojourn and endeavours.

Specifically, this book contains about three hundred and fifty quotes and anecdotes which cuts across several themes ranging from leadership, politics, education, justice, religion, morality, discipline, negative/opposition forces, dignity of labour, kindness, perseverance, the universality of action etc. These themes have set in motion an appropriate introspection for self motivation and personal guide for better and fulfilled living.

This book becomes very relevant in these times polluted by ineptitude in leadership, generally and particularized leadership deficit in the Third World, moral decadence, pervasiveness of violence and unparalleled prevalence of injustices in our society. One would therefore, without hesitation, recommend this book to students, teachers, lecturers at all levels and the general reader. The end point is to achieve both individual and societal moral rectitude and optimal performance. The book generally makes for an exciting reading which you are called to indulge in.

The question we ought to ask ourselves individually should be centered on our impact in our generation and beyond. What shall we be remembered for? Dear reader, understand that achievements like living in bourgeoisie apartments, acquiring various properties and cruising in exotic cars do not signify that we are making impact or progress.

Although it's not wrong to live comfortably, as it is indeed the will of God for those who love Him, and also a measure of achievement in the pursuit of happiness, note that our creativity and problem solving skills are what actually affects people's lives positively. Rare qualities like that portray men and women of value and honour.

People who add value wherever they are found always strive to make good use of opportunities available to them to make life easier and better for themselves and for everyone around them

OBJECTIVE

The Motivational and Moral Guide Quotes is my first book which was written in 2015, and published in 2023. I consider it my start point to more inspirational books in the future. My objective is to deal with the problem of attitude which is the obvious reason behind lots of misbehavior in every part of the world today. Many times, the sponsors of this menace/corrupt practices are those who are in better

positions to make things right.

This book has the power to avert conceived evil in the hearts of men. It deals with the problem of societal challenges and wrong relational approach between man and his fellow man. Dear reader, I would like you to understand that the human attitude is in two phases: the good and the bad. This simply means that your attitude will either make or mar you, hence the reason for the publication of this book which deals with societal challenges and wrong approach between man and his fellow man.

Challenges as we all know, occur as a result of two reasons: the first is as a result of natural causes, and the second is as a result of mistakes or intentional acts borne out of care lessness. The world is not devoid of problems–problems in different dimensions-but our first priority should be how to make positive and holistic attempts to providing solutions to these problems instead of doing nothing but complain about them. I maintain my stand on Discipline. I may have made some mistakes in the past, and to avoid any of such occurrences again, I retrace my steps once I realize that I'm on the wrong track, no matter the pressure I feel. I do this consciously to sustain the position that I have worked so hard to attain. In any given situation, my means of tackling problems no matter the magnitude, is to consider the end result of my strategies in the short or long run. Whenever people think carefully before acting, it's usually difficult to record errors which may be triggered on the basis of misconduct.

Although no man is perfect, we all strive towards perfection irrespective of the extra effort of those who are very careful in whatever they do-that, however, being the key to avoiding problems.

This book MMGQ, isn't published for only adults who occupy different leadership positions or organizations, it is also recommended for teenagers to read, digest and apply in their daily lives. Hence, I call the MMGQ a 'Catch Them Young' series because just as the young must grow physically, mentally and otherwise, they also ought to grow morally by watching their steps and being mindful of their actions all the time. If they fail to do this while still young, it will be difficult for them to achieve that by the time they are grown up.

You will agree with me that no man maintains a particular level or position forever, no matter the quest or greed. This is impossible because of inevitable factors such as death, incapacitation, willful self-resignation from duties and forceful relinquishing of work etc. Self- discipline however, is the key to effecting positive changes at any given level.

The MMGQ and every other of its kind is a good pointer to effective positive change in the world today. The willingness for this change therefore, is a firm foundation from which discipline can be in stilled in us, for if we fail in this regard, there would be no difference between us who claim to been lightened about this and those who are not.

By the grace of God Almighty, I pray that a good number of individuals will see reasons to adopt a positive lifestyle. Corrupt practices which occur as a result of gross misconduct may never be eradicated but can be reduced to the barest minimum. A lot of young people indulge in hideous crimes just to attain different levels of power and get to the top, without considering the traumatic effects of those crimes to their destinies and to people who are directly or indirectly affected by them. I therefore reckon that every youth i.e secondary school students, under graduates, graduates, parents etc, should get at least, a copy of this book. Note that you must not be a preacher of morality before you volunteer to help others find the right path to life. I would be obliged if well-meaning citizens, NGO's and the government at different levels, support programmes and publications by the Motivational and Moral Actors in order to enable her achieve her aim of imparting lives in our various societies. I am very optimistic that together, we can win the war against Indiscipline. Thank you, as you remain committed to making the world a better place.

INTODUCTION

Having a positive change mentality cannot be effected solely on the fact that a person is in power or in a position of authority. It is rather on the grounds of personal determination and consistency in the application of a positive mentality, even in the absence of supervision.

Charles O. Esogbue is passionate about putting in place, things that guide him and every other person in the right way towards maintaining necessary areas of a good relationship between man and his environment, administration/management, as ethics demand. When the above-mentioned isn't given the adequate attention it requires, any society affected would be devoid of peace, may face degradation and unrest.

Everyone, however, may not be satisfied when certain ethics governing different chosen fields are to be adhered to, but about seventy five to eighty percent of people at least wouldn't mind that because it is believed that when a good number of persons are being empowered by the government, or are empowered in the private sectors, others will be indirectly empowered also. We don't have to mind where we are coming from or where we are presently. Where we are going to should be our major concern and collective responsibility. Although the practical attitude of people indicate their level of thinking, I pray that we all will always maintain the path to right thinking.

This book contains about three hundred and fifty quotes and stories written in about a hundred and forty four pages, and it covers every aspect of the human behavioral pattern. Note that some of these patterns are mentioned repeatedly in this book, based on different circumstances and explanations. It is however important to note that people think differently, whether in positive or negative situations. This book tends to showcase these differences and also approach particular things that are done wrongly.

This book is designed as a daily life guide (daily manual) so that no matter the nature of your work or school schedule, you can always create time to read a page or two, if not all, in a day.

It contains short as well as detailed quotes and thoughts, with a size that will not inconvenience anyone.
