The intention of this book is to relate how the grace of God and the Love of my spouse, family, and friends got me through and continue to get me through long-term chronic pain.

    It is NOT the intent to put down or discredit any surgical procedure or injection, or any procedure that has worked successfully for thousands of people with similar back conditions.

Modern medicine has changed and is evolving continuously. The procedures I went through have changed over the years and there are new techniques some less invasive and most with dramatically less recovery times.

Always consult with your doctor and review and research any procedure they deem necessary to help with your pain. I believe the doctors are led by God with the gifts of knowledge and skills to help our human condition. Listen to them. Then pray for guidance, just as I did.

The intent then, once more, of this story, is to relate how even through my pain and suffering, God’s grace, spousal love, and the prayers of so many family and friends, helped me get through some very challenging times.

    It is also to relate to anyone, that faith and love can get you through anything.  You just have to believe, and open your spiritual eyes so that your soul can see all the good that surrounds you.

    That will help you get through any situation. And, in addition, to come to greatly appreciate God’s healing gifts, the miracles of nature, and that the only definition of God and Christianity…is just

These Bible passages explain where the mental strength and the physical ability to keep going through 25+ years of pain and suffering had their foundation. For me, it was being able to stand with one foot on the bedrock of my marriage, and the other on the bedrock of faith that kept me sane, whole, and with a sense of hope, humor, and thankfulness throughout this lifelong ordeal.

My appreciation of God’s love, human love and kindness, and the beauty of nature became intense and extremely clear.
