In the middle of the night, Alex suddenly woke up and found himself in complete darkness. He panicked and tried to turn on the lamp on his bedside table, but to his surprise, it didn't turn on. He reached for his phone, hoping to use its flashlight, but it was dead. He was about to get out of bed and check the circuit breaker, but then he heard something peculiar, but his hand found only emptiness. Confused, Alex rubbed his eyes and tried to discern something in the dark room. However, all he could hear was the sound of his own breathing.

Feeling uneasy, Alex sat up on his bed, trying to remember where he was. As he looked around, he realized that he wasn't in his own house, but in a strange and unfamiliar room. He couldn't recall how he got there or why he was in this place.

Suddenly, he heard a faint noise coming from the other side of the room. His heart racing, Alex tried to see what it was, but he still couldn't make out anything in the pitch-black darkness.

Feeling overwhelmed with fear, Alex decided to take action. He slowly lifted his feet off the bed and gingerly stepped onto the cold floor. With each step, he felt his way toward the other side of the room where the faint noise was coming from.

As he got closer, the noise became louder and clearer. It sounded like someone was breathing heavily. Fearful but determined, Alex summoned all his courage and called out, Who's there?

The breathing stopped abruptly, and Alex felt a chill run down his spine. Suddenly, a voice replied, It's just me, Alex. Don't be scared.

Alex froze, unable to believe what he was hearing. Had he just heard his own name being spoken by someone in the darkroom? Who was this mysterious stranger, and what did they want?
