समाज की हवा को कुछ ताकतें अपनी सहुलियत के हिसाब से बदल रही है। आवाम को सुलाया जा रहा है, सच्चाई को मिटाने की कोशिश की जा रही है, हस्तीयों की चमक को धुमिल करने की चेष्ठा हो रही है। जो समझने योग्य है ही नही, उस पर ध्यान केंद्रित कर मुख्य धारा को मोड़ा जा रहा है। कितनी हैरान करने वाली बात है ना हम ये सब होता देख भी अनदेखा कर रहे है, जैसे हमे कोई फ़र्क ही नहीं पड़ता,जैसे हम चेतनाहीन से हो गए है, केवल सांसें ले रहे है।क्यों होने लगे है हम ऐसे, क्यों नहीं प्रभाव पड़ता अब हम पर, क्यों हमने अपनी आँख - कान को बंद किया हुआ है। मुझे ऐसे माहौल में घुटन सी होती है। मैं चुपचाप नहीं बैठ सकता, मैं हाथ पर हाथ नही रख सकता और ना ही मैं चुप रहूँगा। मैं वो लिखूंगा जो सत प्रतिशत सच हो, मैं वो बातें आपसे करना चाहता हूँ जिसमे झूठ के कोहरे को मिटाने का समर्थ हो और वही सब आपके समक्ष रखना चाहता हूँ जो आपको सोचने पर मजबूर करने को क्षमता रखता हो। प्रस्तुत पुस्तक में संकलित कविताऐं उसी सच की मात्र एक झलक है। आशा करता हूँ ये पुस्तक आपको जगाने में चिंगारी का काम करेगी।
