About this ebook
Life is a journey! Living life can be unpredictable, challenging, interesting, as well as enjoyable. It is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, joys, celebration, and special moments. Thus, the moves we make in life are vitally important to consider, especially toward our destiny.
This book presents testimonies of my life journey along with biblical insight on the right move to make toward our destiny. The expression of thoughts is coming from a chess game mindset simply because, as a chess player, I agree that "Chess is Life" according to a former Grandmaster of chess-Bobby Fischer. (1943—2008). This book is also, the first Christian book inspired by a chess game mindset-guiding every move towards our destiny. Discover for yourself, the moves that matter!

Foreword by Dr. G. Armaly
In his book Moving Towards Your Destiny, Leroy Gibson shares his heart about his journey through life after leaving his homeland Liberia, a country torn by a bloody rebel war for fourteen years. He speaks of the need to trust the Lord completely, at every step in very dangerous situations. Leroy, his wife Weyata, and their two sons ended up relocating to Ghana, West Africa. Here they lived for many years in a refugee camp. The conditions were very harsh and difficult to say the least. Yet, in his book Leroy speaks about remaining positive and grateful. This is where I first met Leroy and his family. My team and I quickly recognized that Leroy was a very gifted man. He was the Director of Shalom Victory Bible College, a gifted teacher, as well as a leader who was able to train up men and women to be strong leaders and pastors. He did this with no outside support and with very few supplies or equipment. Yet, he did it with excellence. After the war, along with most of the Liberians in the camp, they were repatriated back to their homeland to start life all over again. Not an easy task. Then Ebola hit and I remember hearing the sorrow in his voice as he spoke of the families who lost loved ones, and no one was able to minister to them because the disease was so contagious. In his book he talks about the moves that a chess player makes in a chess game. Leroy is an accomplished chess player. He compares the different moves in a game to how we walk as believers in our Christian walk to reach our destiny. He speaks of the need to remain focused, just like we must remain focused on the destiny that God has placed on our lives. For all of us managing all the different aspects of our Christian life can be overwhelming. There is a seemingly endless list of responsibilities to attend to: family, work, ministry, and the communities we live in. Then there is the need to stay focused on prayer, Bible study, fasting etc., and the list goes on and on. He speaks about spending time in the word and the need to renew our minds so that we are transformed into Christ’s image. In another chapter he speaks about the need to have a fighting spirit to beat your opponent in chess. But in our Christian walk we also need a fighting spirit because the Devil prowls around looking for someone to devour.
The one thing that stands out in his book is that Leroy shares from a heart that is very determined to fulfill his destiny. He has a fighting spirit that keeps going even in the hardest of times. This is truly a book written out of his life’s journey.

Foreword by Gregory Smith
Recently while studying in the book of 1 Chronicles 17, I came across a passage of scripture where David had proposed to build God a permanent temple to dwell in.
Interestingly, in response, God said to Nathan in verses 4–5, Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me a house to dwell in: For I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another
(KJV). This, of course, was not the final plan for the Ark of the Covenant. But at least for that season, God chose rather to dwell among the people, in lieu of resting within a permanent home.
This passage of scripture reminded me of the chosen path and journey of the Rev. Leroy Gibson. A well-established and learned man, who could have easily rested in the comforts and security of a home, with his earned stability and status. Yet, rather, he made a conscious decision to follow the will of God on a journey that indeed continues to take him from tent to tent, and tabernacle to tabernacle.
I watched the humility of this great man of God and marvel at his continual willingness to listen for the voice of God, even when, sometimes, it may have appeared that God was silent. This journey has led him to rely on his faith and continue to bless the people of God in whatever tent and tabernacle he is led to embrace. Sometimes the journey is rough. There were times when his word and efforts were not received, there were times when he wasn’t sure which tent or tabernacle to dwell in, yet his obedience continues to pay off and God continues to remain faithful. Part of that significant obedience and journey has led to the transformation of lives, and now the revelation of this wonderful book, Moving Towards Your Destiny. It has also led
