    Poets, philosophers, and prophets. The ordinary citizen and the extraordinary leader. The teacher and the student. Prayer is for one and all. And each prayer is equal in power, whether it’s a grand choir singing holy praises of joy or a single word from someone in need and despair.

    With the power of prayer, even one person with a few simple words can make a difference. Think of it as a candle in the dark night. The tiny flame provides just enough light so we can see what is around us. And when we can see, we can begin to understand. In this way, prayer is our special gift from God. It is a conversation during which He can guide and encourage us, helping us to become all that He created us to be. And who wouldn’t want guidance directly from Heaven?
