Using Scriptures as Prayer
May my prayer be set before You as incense may, the lifting up of my hands be like evening sacrifice (Psalm 141:2) How precious to me are Your thoughts, O GOD! I praise You, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. (Psalm 139:17,14) For You have said I’m precious in Your sight and because You love me, You have redeemed me, and have called me by name.
You have said, I’m yours.
(Isaiah 43:1, 4) I remember the days of long ago. I meditate on all Your works and consider what Your hands have done. I spread out my hands to You. My soul thirsts for You like a parched land. (Psalm 143:5, 6) My eyes are fixed on You, O Sovereign Lord, in You I take refuge. Do not leave my soul destitute. (Psalm 141:8) Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love for I have put my trust in You. Show me the way I should go, for to You, I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8 Teach me Your way, O LORD, I will walk in Your truth: unite my heart to fear Your name. (fear meaning honor, reverential trust) (Psalm 86:1) Teach me Your way, O LORD,I will walk in Your truth: Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God: Your spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. May Your Holy Spirit lead me? (Psalm 143:10) Because you love Me says the LORD, I will rescue you, I will protect you for you acknowledge My name. You will call upon Me, and I will answer you. I will be with you in trouble; I will deliver you and honor you. Psalm 91:14—15 For You have hemmed me in behind and before, You have laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful.
Psalm 139:5
"Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. Blessed is he whose hope is in the LORD his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—the LORD, who remains faithful forever." Psalm 146:1—3, 5b—6

Helpful Steps to use for Prayer
God uses the prayers of Christians to bring about His work on earth
E.M. Bounds
Prayer is communicating and communing with God our Heavenly Father. Sometimes we need a little help to get started. Based on the LORD’s Prayer, here are four steps that can be helpful in getting you started in your daily prayer life.
Praise Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD, Praise Him
Psalm 135:1 I will praise you, O LORD among the nations; I will sing of You among the peoples, for great is Your love, reaching to the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Your glory be over all the earth.
Psalm 57:9—11 Everyday I will praise You and extol Your name forever and ever.
Psalm 145:2
Repent If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I John 1:9 for there is not one who does not sin.
II Chronicles 6:36b If I cherish sin in my heart the LORD would (will) not listened.
Psalm 66:18, Matthew 4:17
Ask The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry.
Psalm 34:15 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
Matthew 7:7—8 "The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Holy Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches our hearts know the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. Romans 8:26—27
Yield Let us pray as Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, not as I will, but as You will.
Matthew 26:39 Submit yourselves, then to God.
James 4:7 For God, His way is perfect.
Psalm 18:30a "The LORD is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made. Psalm 145:136
