Symphony of Chaos

James Parker, don't make me come up there. I call you one more time, and you'd be sorry, young man, Mrs. Parker yelled furiously.

Alright, Mom, I'm up, James answered, fully aware of the consequences if she had to shout his name again. The Parkers were disciplined, and James had always adhered to a strict routine. However, a storm forced him to wait it out at Brandon's place the night before.

By 7 a.m., the sun bathed Hartford, Vermont, in morning light. Good morning, Mom, James mumbled as he grabbed a slice of toast from the kitchen table.

"Thank your stars, Mr. James. One more minute, and you would
